Our FIFA Advent Calendar continues with Day 8 celebrating one of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team's new arrivals.
With the countdown to Christmas well and truly on, Day 8 represents the fun side of the game with one of football's greatest cult heroes.
RealSport101 Advent Calendar - Day 8
Target men have been out of favour for some time in FIFA, with a focus on pace rendering the likes of Andy Carroll obsolete.
However, FIFA 23 breathed life back into some of football's best target men, with one new arrival in particular catching the eye!
Peter Crouch - FIFA 23
Former England striker Peter Crouch only retired in 2019, but he is already back in FIFA Ultimate Team as one of the new FUT Heroes.
Both of Crouch's Hero items in FUT 23 are great fun to use, but it is his World Cup Hero item that is a must-have.
A modest 86 OVR does not tell the full story as he is a certified goal machine!
78 Pace, 83 Strength, and his potentially Lengthy archetype are perfectly suited to this year's game, and his 6'7" frame makes him almost unstoppable in the air.
90 Finishing and 96 Heading Accuracy just make him lethal too, and we can't stress enough how much fun he is to use.
In summary, get rid of your boring 'meta' players and pump balls into the box for Crouchy to feast on!
The Robot
Peter Crouch is a legend both on and off the field, with his books and podcast both providing countless amusing stories from inside the world of football.
On the pitch, he was a character too, with his infamous robot celebration delighting fans whenever performed.
Crouch was also a top player to go with his eccentric antics, with 106 Premier League goals to his name and 199 club goals in total.
The giant striker also boasts a terrific record of 22 goals in 42 appearances for England, including a goal at the 2006 World Cup.
