Real Madrid have made their fourth final in five years, after narrowly defeating Bayern Munich in the semi-final. This is a dominance of Europe's Premier competition not seen since Rinus Michels Ajax team of the early 1970s.
But they were made to sweat, after Bayern Munich produced a dominant display at The Bernabeu. Again, taking the lead through Joshua Kimmich but saw their lead slip, this time with two goals from Karim Benzema.
The first, a header from a perfectly placed Marcelo cross and the second capitalising on a terrible error from Sven Ulreich, latching onto the ball after the German goalkeeper totally missed the ball.
Unlike last week, there looked to be more of a cutting edge about Bayern Munich. They were good value for the equaliser, scored by former Madrid man James Rodriguez and pushed hard for a third, which would have taken them to Kyiv.
Keylor Navas made up for the errors of recent weeks with a man of the match display as his team just held onto their aggregate lead.
