PS5 Reveal Event *UPDATED* - New Date ANNOUNCED, How to watch Future of Gaming, Gameplay, Game Reveals, & more

After delaying their Future of Gaming digital event, Sony has now announced the new date, and it's sooner than you might think.

PS5 Reveal event confirmed for this week

Announced on the Official Playstation Blog, it has been confirmed that the event will take place on 11 June at 1pm Pacific Time / 9pm BST.

The announcement also reads that it will be a 'pre-taped program...broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second'.

The post goes onto read that we should expect the games to look 'even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV.'

Originally, Sony announced on its official Twitter channel that the event was postponed.

POSTPONED: The digital showcase was originally set for 4 June

The decision appeared to mirror a similar decision made by EA, and other companies that seemingly cited the backlash in relation to the death of George Floyd.
