It's another fantastic month from PS Plus, we have to admit. April 2021's offering was great and it looks like the PS Plus May 2021 line up is just as good!
We've got everything you need to know below.
LATEST - PS Plus May 2021 Announcement
The leak was right! Wreckfest, Battlefield V and Stranded Deep are your May 2021 PS Plus games!
Stranded Deep might be a bit smaller than the previous offerings, but Battlefield V and Wreckfest are both pretty fantastic titles.
" Join forces with players worldwide as you plunge yourself into the dark heart of battle, crunch metal and burn rubber on a carnage-filled racetrack against friends or strip back to the bare essentials and attempt to survive a treacherous paradise solo."
All three titles will be available from May 4th at 00:01 Local Time until May 31st at 23:59. Be sure to grab last month's games before they're gone, too!
You can check out more on the PlayStation Blog below:
Please make sure you're aware that Wreckfest is only available on PS5 consoles and the PS4 version of Wreckfest isn't included with May 2021's PS Plus line-up. You can still add the game to your library, even without a PS5, though.

New PS Plus Leak
Just 24 hours or so ahead of the official reveal, a site is claiming that they've got leaks of the next set of PS Plus games.
While areajugones don't know what the PS5 game will be for the month, they are claiming that the following titles will be free with PS Plus in May 2021.
- Battlefield V
- Stranded Deep
While we're unable to substantiate these rumours, Battlefield 6 is rumoured to be revealed this week sometime, although that's also unconfirmed, so now would be a perfect time to make a game from the series free.
Would You Be Happy With Terminator Resistance?
We know Terminator Resistance got a bit of flak when it launched, but it isn't the worst game out there... Right? Well, even if you think it is, you could be getting your hands on it for free next month!
Although Reef Entertainment's Terminator Resistance is launching its Enhanced version on PC and Xbox Series X|S on April 30th, it seems like Sony has pushed back the PS5 version of this title a couple of days to perform some final checks.
With Oddworld: Soulstorm leaving PS Plus after a month, and the May 2021 PS Plus games due on May 4th, this could line up well and confirm that Terminator Resistance is going to be the next PS5 title we get with PS Plus.
Control Ultimate Edition launched a couple of months ago as the PS5 title and was well-received, despite not being a brand new title. We're not sure Terminator REsistance has that initial support anyway, but it could still be a good title to pick up and give a go for free.
Grab Horizon Zero Dawn For Free
Between now and May 14th, players can download Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition for free and keep forever.
The game is being given away by Sony as part of their Play At Home Initiative and is available to both PS4 and PS5 users.
And the best part is, no PS Plus membership is needed, so this is accessible to everyone.
But, since you're on this article you probably have PS Plus already so keep reading to check out what games will be available in May 2021.
PS Plus Game Release Date
As for the release date, this varies month to month but we can use April 2021's games to judge when we can expect to see May 2021's PS Plus games made available to download.
Provided there aren't any errors, the May 2021 PS Plus games will be released on May 4th at 00:00 local time.
Even if the PS Plus tab on the PS Store hasn't been updated, you can usually search the PS Store for the specific title and add it to your Game Library for free from 00:01 on the release date.
May 2021 PS Plus Games
At the moment, we don't know what the PS Plus games for May 2021 will be but we do know what we're expecting (albeit nonspecifically!)
We should be getting two PS4 titles and one PS5 title, like always. However, we're not sure whether we should expect a new PS5 title this month as we have seen three in the past few months with Control Ultimate Edition's next-gen upgrade thrown in there too!
We think a next-gen upgrade is something we should expect over a fully new PS5 title, but we're excited to see what PlayStation has in store.
With the games coming out on May 4th, could we see a Star Wars title in the mix? Maybe even a surprise next-gen upgrade for Squadrons or JFO? Surely not...
