Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2020 is here, bringing Christmas to the game.
Let's go over all the details.
Winter Wonderland 2020 Last Chance
Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2020 began on Tuesday, 15 December.
It will run until Tuesday, 5 January 2021, so players have a couple of more days to take part in the event.
What content has arrived?
The Christmas event features new skins and cosmetics, however, no new maps or characters are expected to arrive until Overwatch 2.
Which characters will get skins?
We've seen eight characters get skins so far, but there are plenty who are waiting in the wings to join the festivities.
We're hoping to see the return of Reindeer Roadhog, but with Frosty Roadhog already hitting the title, we're not holding our breath.
Skins Keep Coming
The festive skins just keep coming and coming!
We've had eight so far, with plenty more expected over the course of the event.
Here's the list so far.
- Lumberjack Torbjorn
- Ice Empress Moira
- Conductor Reinhardt
- Elf Junkrat
- Toybot Zenyatta
- Penguin Mei
- Frosty Roadhog
- Gingerbread Ana
Elf Junkrat is likely to be the most popular of the bunch, with the Epic skin available for free for those who are able to win 9 games in either Quick Play, Competitive or Arcade before the end of the week!
Mei's Snowball Offensive
The limited-time arcade mode "Mei's Snowball Offensive" has returned!
This game mode consists of two teams made up entirely of Mei, whose weapon has been transformed into a snowball launcher.
Players are eliminated when they are hit with a snowball.
With a quick enough reaction, Mei can grab incoming snowballs, adding them to her inventory and avoiding elimination.
Yeti Hunter
"Yeti Hunter" is another festive treat that has returned to Winter Wonderland!
This game mode includes players choosing to compete as part of a team of Meis or a single, stronger Winston.
