*UPDATED* Overwatch 2: Leaks Suggest Competitive Queue Blocked Without all Heroes

There have been some new Overwatch 2 leaks which suggest that the competitive queue will only be accessible when the player owns all Heroes.

This has caused some even more damning discussions of the game even before its release.

With the release date edging ever closer, the game has had a bad rap so far with the gaming community.

However, will the game live up to these criticisms or fail miserably?

Let's take a look at what the new leaks may suggest for the competitive queue in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 big leaks

It started with confirmation of the new hero, Kiriko, and also implied that she would be linked to the season 1 battle pass.

There has also been news that Heroes will essentially be locked behind a free battle pass which was met with outrage from the community.

Competitive Queue leaks

To make matters even worse, a new leak suggests that all Heroes must be unlocked to join the competitive queue.

A Reddit post from @The_Ignotis stated that 'Competitive is locked for the first two weeks of each season,'.

Additionally, it stated that it 'requires that you have every hero unlocked in order to play it.'.

These claims have not yet been verified or come from an especially trusty source.

However, with the recent changes to new Hero unlocks for Overwatch 2, this type of decision fits.

A year from now players may be looking at dozens of hours of Quick Play before Competitive queues open up.
