Nike is gearing up to bring back the Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro Low in 2022 following a 20-year absence, leaving many fans speculating as to when we'll see a release date for these classic sneakers.
It would seem much of the design will be kept consistent with the 2002 release, with Nike only making minor adjustments as part of the 2022 makeover.
With that being said, here's everything we know so far about the redesigned Nu Retro's...
Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro Low Release Date
As of right now, it's hard to say exactly when these sneakers will be released as an official listing is yet to go live.
Reports suggest we will likely see these sneakers drop around Spring 2022; however, this is yet to be confirmed by the brand.
If the Spring estimate is correct, then the Nu Retro's could debut alongside the highly anticipated Air Jordan 2 x A Ma ManiƩre collaboration around late April.
With no clear release date, make sure you check back in with us as we'll be keeping you updated with all the latest news surrounding the drop right here.
Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro Low Design
As previously mentioned, the 2022 Nu Retro's maintain much of the same design features as the original 2002 release, with the official images showcasing the same red, black, and white colour scheme.
Also, the upper seems to be keeping the full-leather, paneled construction, with the white panels featuring an embossed "Wings" logo in place of the classic Nike Swoosh.
The toebox and heel contrast the white with bright Chicago Red, which is then outlined by black to match the laces, inner lining, and Jumpman logo on the midsole.
Underfoot, the sneakers feature a red outsole with a translucent gum cut-out that runs directly through the mid to front portion of the shoes.
This is a slight deviation from the original design which saw more of an icy split as opposed to the yellow-tint on the 2022 release.
The whole shoe then sits on top of the typical full-length Nike Air compartment which should make these sneakers comfortable to wear for everyday use.
Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro Low Price
Without an official listing on Nike.com, it's hard to say how much the Nu Retro sneakers will cost.
However, it's estimated that a men's pair will retail for around $85, making these a relatively inexpensive Jordan 1 release.
Where To Buy Air Jordan 1 Nu Retro Low
We believe the first place we're likely to see these basketball shoes drop is at Nike.com under the Jordan or basketball subsection.
We'd also recommend signing up for the push notifications as soon as the listing goes live on the SNKRS page or App so you're completely prepared for the upcoming release.
