The build-up to the 2018 NHL Draft is picking up steam, and that means it's time to take a closer look at what teams may do to build for the future.
The New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators, and Philadelphia Flyers each have two picks in the first round. Not to be outdone, the New York Rangers have three of the first 31 selections thanks to trades with Tampa Bay and Boston at the trade deadline.
That makes 13 picks belonging to just six teams in the first round this year.
While it's pretty clear who the top prospect in this year's class is — Swedish defenseman Rasmus Dahlin — there are still plenty of questions surrounding the rest of the group of potential first round picks. And though there is a lot of hockey left to be played, it's never too early to play psychic.
Players like Boston University forward Brady Tkachuk and Barrie Colts winger Andrei Svechnikov have continued to see their stock rise as the weeks pass by, but there's plenty more talent within the draft class of 2018.
So with no further delay, here's Real Sport's NHL Mock Draft Version 1.0
