NHL 22 Update 1.61 Patch Notes for April 13 (Today)
If you're one of the many NHL 22 players who focus on Franchise Mode, there's finally some good news on the way.
NHL 22 Update 1.61 is about to arrive, and the abbreviated Patch Notes have revealed that Franchise is their prime focus.
The update was announced by NHL 22 Community Manager Clappy on Twitter, and with the announcement he also stated it would deploy on April 13, 2022 at 1pm ET.
As a result, we don't yet know the download size or further details just yet, but it's possible we already have the NHL 22 Patch Notes.
EA Sports does not always release a detailed set of Patch Notes for each update, and NHL 22 Update 1.61 could be focused entirely on the singular issue that Clappy pointed out on his tweet.
Franchise Mode crashes are finally being fixed
Since launch back in October 2021, one of the most frustrating bugs players have faced is a series of crashes linked to Franchise Mode.
Reports for this issue have varied, but there seemed to be several consistent crash points within Franchise Mode for NHL 22.
Some of these were linked to length of the Franchise itself, with crashes triggering in the offseason after a given number of years, but hopefully those days are over.
In the announcement tweet, Clappy said "this patch is to fix various crashes that were occurring within franchise mode."
With no mention of any other issues, that may indeed be the sole problem they've chosen to address with the NHL 22 Update 1.61 Patch Notes.
