New York City FC's new away kit for the 2022 MLS season has been revealed by the club, and if you're like us, you're probably wondering when the latest strip will be released by adidas.
The official images surfaced just a few days after leaked images emerged online, and shortly after Inter Miami released the club's new home kit for the 2022 campaign.
With that being said, we're focusing specifically on New York City's away kit in this article, so, without further delay, here's everything we know about the jersey so far...
New York City Away Kit 2022 Release Date
The MLS season runs on a slightly different schedule to the top European leagues, with the 2022 campaign due to commence on 26 February.
As a result, we're only just starting to see MLS teams unveil their new kits. NYCFC is no different as the club has now confirmed the release of its 2022 away shirt.
New York City Away Kit 2022 Leaks And Design
Our first look at the NYCFC away kit came courtesy of r/NYCFC where accidental leaks from the adidas app were posted alongside a more detailed in-store image.
The pictures show the club's first-ever orange away kit that also includes a zig-zagged, abstract purple pattern that cuts the shirt in half vertically down the middle.
The Etihad and adidas sponsors are then dressed in white to match the three stripes across the shoulders, while a thin purple line circles around the collar to complement the zig-zags.
However, we now have official images of the shirt following the release of the kit. The image below confirms the previously leaked design.
