With the NBA playoffs underway, we decided to simulate the first round of the playoffs in NBA 2K22. Some of the results could be shocking.
We'll cover both the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Opening Round, so who moves on and which teams were sent home.
Let's go over our NBA playoffs simulation in NBA 2K22.
NBA Playoffs Sim in NBA 2K22
These NBA playoff simulations in NBA 2K22 are a lot of fun and sometimes you land on the correct pick. They can also result in some surprising upsets.
If you'd like to perform this simulation yourself, you can head to MyNBA and fill out an NBA Playoffs bracket and then perform the simulation.
We'll get started with the Eastern Conference and will cover the Western Conference in a separate piece.
The Eastern Conference NBA 2K22 simulation is where we have seen perhaps the most surprising outcomes of our entire NBA Playoffs simulation.
Let's kick it off with the No.1 seed in the Eastern Conference versus the No.8 seed.
Eastern Conference SIM - Round 1
The first round of the Eastern Conference kicked off with the Miami Heat versus the Atlanta Hawks. The series was completed within six games and the Hawks pulled off a surprising 4-2 series win.
Some highlights from the final game of the series were Trae Young putting together a 38-point and nine assist game. Atlanta shot 54% from the field and 43% from the three-point line.
Both Game 1 and Game 5 went to the Miami Heat, who struggled to contain the Hawks shooting. By the end of it, the Hawks offense was too much for the Heat.
Young averaged 29 points per game in the series and advanced the Atlanta Hawks to Round 2 in NBA 2K22.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors
Although we thought this game might be the closest competition in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers won this one easily 4-1.
In Game 5, the 76ers were able to barely edge out a 129-126 victory over the Raptors behind a 39-point 12-rebound game from Joel Embiid.
Harden had quite the game himself, scoring 32 points and putting up 12 assists. After the 4-1 series win, they'll head to face the Atlanta Hawks in our next NBA 2K22 simulation.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls
When the Bucks faced the Bulls, we thought this would be another close competition, but the offense of the Bucks was too much for Chicago.
Within five games, the Bucks won the series. The final game was a 120-97 victory for the Bucks where Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo combined for 62 points.
Over the course of five games, Giannis averaged 26 points per game and had a lot of help from players like Middleton and Jrue Holiday.

Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets
The final series of the Opening Round was between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, it didn't go their way.
This was the most competitive series in the Eastern Conference and it took seven games for the Celtics to pull out a 4-3 victory.
The unsung hero of the final game of the series was Jaylen Brown who put up 38 points, combined with 25 points from Jayson Tatum.
The most points scored by Tatum in this series was 31 and Brown was essential in the Celtics' win in our NBA 2K22 simulation of the NBA playoffs.
