NBA Live 19: Best Post Anchor Build and Traits

After the failed Jimmy Butler experiment, Minnesota have a whole new roster. Will the removal of Butler and the additions of Covington and Saric be the key to unlocking the potential of this talented team? Take a look at their entire roster below, as well as all the NBA Live 19 ratings and other stats.

Jeff Teague, PG, 82

Age: 30

Position: PG

Height: 6’2’’

Playstyle: Slasher

Best stats: 90 Stamina, 90 Speed, 84 Free Throw

Teague had a solid first season on the Timberwolves in 2017/18, averaging 14.2 points, 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals per night. His ability to see the floor and make passes is hugely important on a Timberwolves team full of capable finishers, but few capable playmakers.

Andrew Wiggins, SG, 82

Age: 23

Position: SF

Height: 6’8’’

Playstyle: Wing Scorer

Best stats: 96 Stamina, 95 Vertical, 91 Dunk

Wiggins has failed to make the impact Minnesota would have been hoping for since he was drafted at pick 1 in the 2014 draft, but at just 23 years of age he still has plenty of time to develop into a good NBA player. In 2017/18 his points average dropped nearly six to 17.7 per game thanks largely to the addition of Butler, but more important to his development than his points average is improving what is an inherently inefficient offensive game into an efficient one, as well as his defense.

Robert Covington, SF, 80

Age: 27

Position: SF

Height: 6'9"

Playstyle: Wing Shooter

Best Stats: 91 Defensive Awareness, 88 Stamina, 86 Dunk

Covington should fit in nicely to the Timberwolves team. An elite defender at various positions, he will negate the loss of Butler at that end of the floor, while his ability to knock down the 3-point shot will give Towns and Wiggins more space to operate on the offensive end.

Dario Saric, PF, 80

Age: 24

Position: PF

Height: 6'10"

Playstyle: Stretch Big

Best Stats: 86 Free Throw, 84 Inside Shot, 82 Mid-Range Shot

The quintessential all-around player, Saric is able to contribute to his team in a number of ways. Still in just his third full season, the Croatian can pass, shoot, and score on the inside, and as an intelligent player who fits in to the flow of the offense, will be a nice addition to the Timberwolves.

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, 91

Age: 22

Position: C

Height: 7’0’’

Playstyle: Post Anchor

Best stats: 95 Stamina, 95 Post Moves, 94 Strength

Towns’ numbers took a hit last season as a result of his decreased usage, but he still put up 21.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per game. The development of his 3-point shot was a notable part of his 2017/18 season, going from 36.7% in the previous season all the way up to 42.1%. Easily the most talented player on this roster and one of the most talented in the league, Towns still has holes in his game - most notably his defense, which has seemingly failed to progress since he entered the league - but his array of offensive weapons makes him difficult to stop on his day.
