NBA 2K24 is among the most anticipated video games of 2023. Fans can't wait to see what innovations the title brings and are dying to try the game out. The excitement is at an all-time high.
However, whenever a new NBA 2K game comes out, fans are posed with a challenging question. "What edition should I buy and why?" This is the question fans ask themselves every year. That's because NBA 2K has plenty of editions, all offering something different.
So, let's take a look at all the NBA 2K24 editions, and what they offer.
Latest: NBA 2K24 gameplay trailer released
2K has finally released the NBA 2K24 gameplay trailer. The trailer showcased all the new gameplay features that were introduced, and it also explained how these features will impact the gameplay.
Many of the gameplay features were revamped, such as shooting, dunking, and dribbling, with strength and width being tuned. Defense and offense also underwent some changes, with the game becoming more skill-based on both sides.
2K also released more information on the ProPLAY technology. This feature will have a huge impact on the gameplay, making it feel much more authentic and realistic
NBA 2K24 editions
Overall there are four editions of the game this year. This is down from the six editions we saw last year. The names have also switched up a bit, so let's run through them all and what we know about them so far...
Kobe Bryant Edition
This is the basic edition of NBA 2K24. Buying the Kobe Bryant Edition will give the game itself with no added bonuses. It's got a two-tiered pricing structure though, with Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC players able to get it at £59.99 while those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have to cough up £69.99.
It's a shame to see 2K stick with this structure of pricing, especially with most other developers abandoning it. But there we go. Those playing on the new console will have some benefits, like the new ProPLAY technology and crossplay, but charging more for it seems unfair.
WNBA Edition
This one returns from last year and will once again be a GameStop exclusive for those in the US & Canada. That means we don't have a price for it in pounds, but it should be the same price as the Kobe Bryant Edition and again just be the basic game.
We will update this article with any more information we can get once listings for the WNBA Edition go live.
Black Mamba Edition
