The latest NBA 2K23 rating changes saw a lot of players getting an improved OVR. It's the first update since the All-Star break, with players from many teams that are trying to make a playoff push featured in the list.
Plenty of players had their NBA 2K23 OVR impacted. While some had great performances and saw an increase in their OVR. Others haven't played to their full potential as of late.
Without further ado, let's see the latest NBA 2K23 rating changes, and what players were impacted by it.
NBA 2K23 rating updates
The period after the All-Star break is a very important one. Many teams are doing a last playoff push, while others are trying to secure the highest seed possible.
Many star players have risen to the occasion, putting on amazing performances, and carrying the hopes and dreams of their teams.
However, others have fallen short, not showing up when their teams most need them.
These ratings reflect just that, with players that had great post-All-Star break performances being rewarded for them.
Jalen Williams 82 OVR (+4)
Rookie Jalen Williams had some impressive performances after the All-Star break. The Shooting Guard of the Oklahoma City Thunder is averaging an impressive 21.3 points, 4.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals.
The Thunder are only one win away from the play-in spot, and Jalen William's performances in the last seven games contributed massively to that.
He is a true two-way player, with his size and handles making him very hard to guard. Jalen Williams plays at a fast pace but always makes the right play. In the last 11 games, he is shooting an impressive 57.4% from the field.
Defensively, Jalen Williams is very versatile, and his size allows him to guard multiple positions.
After these amazing performances, he entered the rookie of the year conversation. So, a 4-point increase on his NBA 2K23 OVR seems more than fair.
Damian Lillard 95 OVR (+2)
To the delight of the Portland Trail Blazers fans, lately, it has been Dame time quite often. The superstar player has been putting on historic performances, even dropping 71 points versus the Houston Rockets.
Damian Lillard is having the best year of his career so far, averaging an impressive 32.3 points in the regular season.
If we take a look at his last seven games, Damian Lillard is averaging 38.4 points, 6.7 assists, and 6.9 rebounds. These are MVP calibre numbers, with Lillard carrying the offensive burden of his team.
The Portland Trail Blazers are still in playoff contention because of him, and after a historic performance versus the Houston Rockets, a 2-point increase on his NBA 2K23 OVR doesn't feel good enough.
John Collins 80 OVR (-2)
John Collins 2022-23 NBA season has been far from a success. The Atlanta Hawks Power Forward is having arguably the worst season of his career.
Not only is he performing below expectations, but the Atlanta Hawks have also shown interest in trading him multiple times.
Despite still having two more years in his contract, it's hard to see John Collins staying at the Atlanta Hawks for next season.
In the past six games, he is averaging 10.3 points, 0,3 assists, and 3,0 rebounds. He has not been able to be the player that impacts both sides of the floor and is struggling both offensively and defensively.
The Atlanta Hawks sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference regular season standings, and they will need John Collins to show up if they want to have a good playoff run.
Because of the bad season John Collins is having, combined with his underwhelming last six games, a 2-point decrease on his NBA 2K23 OVR is adequate.
