What Players Really Want to See in NBA 2K22

With every new game comes a new wishlist, although NBA 2K21 was mostly a success, players want more in NBA 2K22, and 2K looks up to the challenge.

Although some of these wishes may not get granted, here's what many fans want to see in NBA 2K22.

Bring Affiliations Back to Current Gen Consoles

Affiliations was how the 2K Neighborhood engaged with each other in the past, but this has seen a significant drop in current gen consoles. This is because, unfortunately for current gen players, NBA 2K21 brought back Affiliations only for next gen users.

If NBA 2K22 wants to drive their current gen consumers back to the Neighborhood, allowing affiliations is a great start.

Stronger Servers

A big complaint from current and next gen players is the server load and wait times they've experienced. There are a couple of ways that NBA 2K22 can fix this though.

CONNECTED: Players want better servers in NBA 2K22

For starters, they could have dedicated servers for The Park, which would lessen the load of other servers. With more next gen players this year than last year, you should expect a better server response in NBA 2K22.

Reduced Skill Gaps in Rec Games

This is another complaint that has gone on for quite some time. Players have quit matches before due to the skill gap being too large.

If you're unfamiliar, essentially everyone is thrown into the same group, including players with low overall teams.

NBA 2K22 can make it fun again for starting players by reducing these skill gaps and create better match-making inside of Rec games.

Something we all enjoy about basketball is how immersive it is. What better way to immerse players than having some true in-game celebrations.

New Leaks Might Reveal NBA 2K22 Cover Art

Every year when a game is about to be released, information begins to leak. This year, there's a chance that the cover art for NBA 2K22 has leaked.

On it, we see Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, making it a three-man cover.

When Can You Expect NBA 2K22

On average, 2K usually releases the next title a month before the season begins.

Last year, NBA 2K21 was released on September 4, 2020, and although it's months away, the pre orders should open soon.
