NBA 2K22 Update: Latest Roster Adjustments

This is the first 2K Ratings update of the entire year and it was a huge one! Tons of players had their ratings moved up, while a significant few saw their NBA 2K22 rating plummet.

These adjustments were made based on their performance throughout the NBA season so far. Players can expect more ratings to be adjusted in future NBA 2K22 updates.

NEW RATINGS: Check out the latest NBA 2K22 ratings

A lot of players had their ratings adjusted this time around, but a few players stood out as distinct winners of this NBA 2K22 update. Let's take a look at the winners below.

The Winners

As with each NBA 2K22 update, certain players will see a significant boost to their ratings, while others might see a huge drop.

There were three players that clearly deserved a boost in their ratings this time around and they were recognized by 2K Ratings.

NBA 2K22 Update Ja Morant

BIG JA: Ja Morant was one of many players to see a huge boost to their rating

Let's take a look at our first winner of the NBA 2K22 update and how much his rating was increased.

Ja Morant (PG) - 89 OVR (+4) - Memphis Grizzlies

Ja Morant received a +4 boost to his overall rating and for good reason. He averages 28.3 points per game and is a front runner for MIP (Most Improved Player) of the year.

If he keeps this up, he'll likely find himself among the over 90 rated players in NBA 2K22. At this point, it's only a matter of time before he does.

DeMar DeRozan (SF) - 88 OVR (+3) - Chicago Bulls

The +3 boost to DeRozan's overall rating in NBA 2K22 is great to see. DeRozan is one of the players in the NBA who doesn't receive enough attention.

BIG BOOST: This Diamond Card is starting to make more sense

Now that he's on the same team with Zach Lavine, he's becoming a vital part of the Bulls offense. A team that is currently 6-2 and third in the Eastern Conference.

LaMelo Ball (PG) - 87 OVR (+3) - Charlotte Hornets

LaMelo Ball is a fan favorite and the main reason why the Charlotte Hornets are performing well this season. His ability to distribute the ball is unparalleled and he's a great scorer.

Not only did he receive a boost to his overall rating after the NBA 2K22 update, but he also saw a boost to his 3-PT Shooting rating as well.

The Losers

Whenever you have winners, you have to have losers as well. This NBA 2K22 update is no different and plenty of players have seen a significant drop in their rating.

NBA 2K22 Update James Harden

THE BEARD: A slow start to the season caused a drop to Harden's rating

We expect some of these drops to impact their NBA 2K22 MyTEAM cards as well, but for now, let's look at the significant "losers" of the NBA 2K22 roster update.

James Harden (SG) - 92 OVR (-2) - Brooklyn Nets

New rules in the NBA have limited James Harden's ability to get to the foul-line, something he relied on upon heavily over the last few seasons. This year, James Harden is averaging just 18.2 points per game, well below his career average.

It's obvious that his offensive prowess has suffered in the process and is also what caused his NBA 2K22 rating to drop. If he continues to perform this way, James Harden might find himself kicked out of the 90 OVR club.

Damian Lillard (PG) - 90 OVR (-4) - Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard is another player who has seen a rough start to his season this year. So far, he averages just 19.5 points this year. His NBA 2K22 rating has seen a drop because of this.

TIME TO TURN UP: When will it finally be "Dame Time"?

The good news is that Lillard can turn this season around and get his overall back to 94, where it was before the season started.

Russell Westbrook (PG) - 84 OVR (-2) - Los Angeles Lakers

Out of all the deductions, this is definitely one that we were expecting when the NBA 2K22 update finally went live. The Lakers are currently 5-4 on the season and Russell Westbrook hasn't done much to help them out this season.

He'll have more chances to improve his stats in the upcoming games, but with how he's been shooting, his rating might go down again. If it does, Westbrook could find himself falling below 80 OVR, which isn't a good look.
