We are now almost a month into the current NBA season and with each team having played a minimum of twelve games, the standings and playoff races are beginning to take shape. The Western Conference is as you would expect, the LA Lakers sit top on 10-2, with the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz not far behind.

However, there is a surprise leader in the East in the form of the Boston Celtics. Having lost star man Kyrie Irving in the summer, many tipped the C's to struggle, but a Kemba-led side currently sits atop the table in their conference, matching the Lakers 10-2 record.
There is still a whole load of ball to be played before we start thinking about final standings, but there are some players who are continuing to excel and are worthy of a ratings boost in NBA 2K20. Here is our pick of five players we think will receive an upgrade to their overall.
Kemba Walker (OVR 88)
Age: 29Position: PGTeam: Boston Celtics
As we have already mentioned, when Kyrie left the Celtics in the summer, there was the feeling that the C's could struggle. However they are currently the hot team in the East with Kyrie's replacement, Kemba Walker, a key component in their current success.
He leads the team in both points and assists per game, with 23.8 and 5 respectively, shooting an impressive 41.2% from deep. He may be one of the better point guards in the game already at 88 OVR, but given his current form, we should see him jump up to an 89.
Bojan Bogdanovic (OVR 83)
Age: 30 Position: PFTeam: Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz were a dark horse for many NBA experts coming into the season, and with a current record of 8-4, you can see why.
NBA journeyman and new Jazz signing Bojan Bogdanovic has settled into life in Utah with ease and has began the season in red hot form for the Jazz, averaging 19.8 PPG, bettered only by Donovan Mitchell.

The 6'8" Croatian has used the ball wisely when given the opportunity too. Shooting 43.7% from deep and 90.2% from the free throw line. A small jump from 83 to 84 is in order.
Bam Adebayo (OVR 81)
Age: 22Position: CTeam: Miami Heat
A team who has taken the league by suprise so far this season is the Eastern Conference's Miami Heat.

22-year-old Bam Adebayo has begun his third season as an NBA professional better than most centers in the league, averaging a double-double with his 13.9 points and whopping 10.6 rebounds.
He seems to have a newfound sense of maturity this season and he will be a key man in any success that the Miami Heat have throughout the course of this campaign and beyond. We believe he should be at the very least an 83 OVR.
Terry Rozier III (OVR 79)
Age: 25
Position: PG
Team: Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets fans were devastated to lose fan favorite Kemba Walker in the off-season, however his replacement Terry Rozier has started the season well in his new colours.
'Scary Terry' was without doubt a downgrade on the All-Star Kemba and whilst his stats may not be as impressive as the Celtics PG, Rozier is putting up 16.9 points, 4.7 assists and 4 rebounds per game for the Charlotte franchise.
A rise from a 79 to an 81 would be fit for Rozier.
Danny Green (OVR 78)
Age: 32
Position: SG
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
The final name to make the list is the 32-year-old Lakers shooting guard Danny Green, who is looking to make it back-to-back NBA titles after his move from the Raptors in the off-season.

Three point shooting was one of the main issues for the Lakers last season and one of the reasons they went after Green, who is known from his ability from deep, and he currently leads the Lakers in three point shooting percentages, with a 41.4% success rate.
Earlier this month Green admitted that he almost chose Dallas over LA in free agency, however an impressive start would suggest he made the right call. 80 OVR would be right for us.
