NBA 2K19: 2007-2008 Houston Rockets Player Ratings and Roster

While most current NBA fans are drooling over the greatness of James Harden, Houston fans got to enjoy greatness of equal magnitude nearly a decade ago. T-Mac was in the same tier as Harden in his prime and led this team to a 55-27 season. Unfortunately, they would exit in the first round of the playoffs to the Utah Jazz.

Top Five

While the true roster relied on production from Rafer Alston, it appears NBA 2K19 is not able to provide the dynamic point guard to its players. Instead, the offer the point guard combo of Luther Head and Bobby Jackson.

Bobby Jackson, PG (OVR 75) 

Age: 34

Height: 6’1”

Traits: Playmaker

Best Stats: Ball Handling, Speed, Mid-Range

In the twilight years of his career, Jackson was not much more than bench depth on this roster. In 19.2 minutes per game, he averaged 8.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Carl Landry, PF

Age: 25

Height: 6’9”

Traits: Low Post Threat

Best Stats: Strength, Post Offense, Rebounding

Landry was a rookie during this season, but was already making an impact in just 16.9 minutes per game. He averaged 8.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists while coming off the bench. His strength was his efficiency inside, making 61.6% of his field goal attempts.

Tracy McGrady, SG (OVR 90)

Age: 28

Height: 6’8”

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best Attributes: Stamina, Vertical, Mid-Range

T-Mac struggled with injuries during the season, but still managed to post all-star numbers. While not his peak season, McGrady averaged 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.

Shane Battier, SF (OVR 79) 

Age: 29

Height: 6’8”

Traits: Wing Defender

Best Stats: Lateral Quickness, 3 PT, Stamina

Battier was a solid wing defender and overall contributor to this lineup. He was one of the more permanent staples on a nightly basis and averaged 9.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1 steal and 1.1 block per game. 

Yao Ming, C (OVR 88) 

Age: 27

Height: 7’6”

Traits: Two-Way Center

Best Stats: Post Offense, Strength, Blocks

Many NBA fans were shocked at the height of Yao Ming when he first entered the league. Over time he proved with skills to the tune of 22 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. Unfortunately, the big man often struggled to stay healthy and played a relatively short career.
