NBA 2K19: 2001-2002 Sacramento Kings Player Ratings and Roster

Followers of the current NBA may not realize how good the Kings used to be not that long ago. However, back in early 2000s, the city of Sacramento had a team that they could be very proud of. Led by the strong play of Chris Webber and supported by a well-balanced group of perimeter players, they found themselves atop the western conference standings with a record of 61-21.

Best Stats: Mid-Range, Ball Handling, Speed

Running the offense was Mike Bibby. With averages of 13.7 points, 5 assists and 1.1 steals per game, Bibby served as a better than average starting point guard during this successful run. While the team’s perimeter play wasn’t necessarily all-star level, it was certainly sufficient enough for this team to find great success.

Doug Christie, SG (OVR 80)

On the perimeter, Christie was the anchor at the shooting guard position. He earned second team all-defense honors with averages of 12 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2 steals per game.

Peja Stojakovic, SF (OVR 87)

Traits: Offensive-Minded Wing

Best Stats: 3Pt, Mid-Range, Stamina

Peja was the second leading scorer on this team with a deadly 3-point shot. With averages of 21.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, he was a solid second option for the Kings offense.

Chris Webber, PF (OVR 90)

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best Stats: Stamina, Post Offense, Blocks

Webber had long been considered a star in the league by the time he played for the Kings. This particular season, he managed to earn All-NBA second team honors behind averages of 24.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.

Vlade Divac, C (OVR 86)

Traits: Low Post Star

Best Stats: Rebounding, Layups, Post Offense

Divac was a solid interior defensive presence to pair with Webber. With averages of 11.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1 steal and 1.2 blocks per game, Divac was a solid contributor all season long.
