This was as good as it got for this storied franchise in the 90s. Led by the incredible feats of Magic Johnson, this team finished with a 58-24 record that was good enough to finish 3rd in the West. They found plenty of success in the playoffs as they advanced to Finals, only to lose to the Michael Jordan-led Bulls, 1-4. This was the only Lakers appearance in the Finals during this decade.
Starting Lineup
Magic Johnson, PG (OVR 93)
Age: 31
Height: 6’9”
Traits: Two-Way Star
Best Stats: Passing, Layups, Stamina
Magic is often considered one of the greatest point guards of all time. He was capable of putting up incredible stats and was always a triple-double threat. This season, he averaged 19.4 points, 12.5 assists, 7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
James Worthy, SF (OVR 86)
Age: 30
Height: 6’9”
Traits: Two-Way Wing
Best Stats: Post Offense, Layups, Lateral Quickness
Even with Magic being the featured star on the team, Worthy contributed in the way he knew best - scoring. He led the team in scoring this season with 21.4 points per game. He added on 4.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals a night to boost his statistical value even more.
Vlade Divac, C (OVR 77)

A.C. Green played in every game this season, but filled a bench role for a majority of the season. He filled in for injured starter, Sam Perkins, early on but finished with only 26.4 minutes per game by season end. He averaged 9.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and little else, but was known for his solid on-ball defense.
Byron Scott, SG (OVR 76)
Age: 30
Height: 6’4”
Traits: Sharpshooter

Scott filled his role as a reliable mid-range scoring threat in this backcourt. He averaged 14.5 points, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while playing in every regular season game that year. As the number 3 scoring option on offense, Scott was a valued contributor to this squad.
