The 76ers (51-30) have put themselves on the cusp of clinching the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference with a victory in this game after setting a single-season record for consecutive wins at 15 following a 121-113 triumph at Atlanta on Tuesday night.
The two players they got from the Hawks over the course of the season, Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova, combined for 46 points off the bench and made nine of 20 from 3-point range. J. J. Redick hit six of nine from beyond the arc and paced Philadelphia with 28 points.
Milwaukee (44-37) can wrap up the sixth seed with a victory in this game, but they could also slip to as low as eighth with a loss and victories by the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. The Bucks have won back-to-back games and coming off a 102-86 win over Orlando on Monday night.
All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was given the night off to rest his sore ankle, and Eric Bledsoe picked up the slack with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for his fourth career triple-double. Jabari Parker had 16 points and nine rebounds starting in place of Antetokounmpo while Shabazz Muhammad had a season-high 22 points off the bench.
Antetokounmpo, who averages team highs of 27.1 points and 10.0 rebounds along with 4.8 assists, likely will be a game-time decision. He practiced before Monday's game before being held out.
