Madden 23 September Title Update absolutely MUST fix Franchise Mode bugs

With this year's installment officially here, fans are already looking forward to the Madden 23 September Title Update to fix existing issues.

Several game modes are in need of help, but as of now it looks like Franchise Mode has the most pressing bugs that must be fixed in the Madden 23 September Title Update.

Madden 23 September Title Update Release Date

While we're just a week out from the launch of Early Access and the EA Play Trial and a few short days out from the worldwide Madden 23 release, issues have already started showing up.

Bugs and glitches are facing players in tons of different ways, but there could be hope on the horizon with the first title update of the year.

We recently learned that no Day One Update or set of bug fixes was planned for Madden 23, and unfortunately that meant issues like Free Agency bugs in Franchise Mode wouldn't be fixed just yet.

BUSTED: Many gamers feel Franchise is unplayable in its current form

As of now, EA has yet to confirm when the September Title Update will arrive, but we can get a pretty good idea by looking back at previous years.

The majority of updates to Madden in the past few years have followed a monthly Title Update format, and usually the first to arrive is a few weeks after launch in early September on Tuesday or Thursday.

With that in mind, we believe the most likely arrival date is Tuesday, September 6, 2022 for the Madden 23 September Title Update.

Franchise Mode among the most needed bug fixes

While it's not the only game mode facing issues, Franchise Mode is the most important area of focus for EA with the Madden 23 September Title Update.

Most notably, a Free Agency bug causing CPU-controlled teams to dump all their top players into Free Agency each year has been causing havoc with long-term Franchise saves.

One recent Reddit post, far from the only one to point this out, showed how Franchise Mode let major stars like Nick Bosa, Justin Jefferson, Derrick Henry, and Justin Herbert all get released from their teams and hit Free Agency.

The issue has also been brought up on the EA Answers forum, which has three pages of replies but has only gotten a formulaic "please give platform and username" response from EA at this point.

There have been separate reports about bugs in Face of the Franchise and Ultimate Team, the latter of which has actually been addressed by EA.

Several tweets from the Madden NFL Direct account have acknowledged issues in Ultimate Team and followed up with replies that many have already been resolved.

At this point we'll have to wait and see what EA is able to remedy with the full Patch Notes for the Madden 23 September Title Update, but they've got plenty of problems to solve.
