Madden 22 Ultimate Team: MUT 22 TOTW 2 Predictions

Madden 22 Ultimate Team is ready to drop the next Team of the Week, and there are some big names in the running for TOTW 2.

With TOTW 1 already kicking things off last week, these predictions will take a look at who seems set to get a new MUT 22 card when Madden 22 Ultimate Team TOTW 2 is released.

Madden 22 Ultimate Team: MUT 22 TOTW 2 Release Date

After some initial uncertainty heading into the first Team of the Week reveal, we now know the schedule and format that is expected for TOTW throughout this season.

There should be one major Player of the Week (POTW) based on the past week's performances, as well as two Heroes from the past, an LTD highlighting a current player's past performance, and finally six players (three offense and three defense) who get an upgrade as well.

It's a lot to see coming, but we know when these are likely to be revealed, and that should kickoff with the TOTW 2 Heroes being announced on the MUT 22 Twitter account.

TOTW 2: The next group is on the way very soon

That reveal is expected at 7pm ET / 6pm CT on Monday, September 20, with a subsequent reveal of this week's LTD and POTW as soon as fifteen minutes later.

Players will have to wait to see the rest, as those final six players should be revealed during Good Morning Madden on Twitch, which is set to air on Tuesday, September 21 at 10:30am ET / 9:30am CT.

After those reveals were made, the cards finally went live in Madden 22 Ultimate Team just after 4pm ET / 3pm CT, which is likely to be the case this week as well.

Player of the Week 2 (POTW) - Derrick Henry

When it comes to Player of the Week, there are always a handful of candidates, and that's especially true with several great performances in week two of NFL action this year.

However, only one can sit at the top, and this time it's likely to be Derrick Henry after his monstrous 182-yard rushing performance paired with 55 receiving yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Team of the Week 2 LTD - Odell Beckham Jr. (2019)

With a glimpse into the past, one great pick for the TOTW 2 LTD would be Odell Beckham Jr., who lit the Jets on fire in Week 2 of 2019.

FLASHBACK: This throwback game was a big one for Beckham Jr.

OBJ had 161 receiving yards that week, with an insane 26.83 yard per reception, and one touchdown to help Cleveland trounce them in a 23-3 victory.

TOTW 2 Offensive & Defensive Heroes Predictions

Our offensive and defensive heroes can be difficult to predict as they dig deep into NFL history, but we've got a few week two performances of yesteryear that stand out as potential heroes in TOTW 2.

Offensive Hero: Jimmy Smith, Jacksonville Jaguars (2002)

"Lightning" Jimmy Smith put up a legendary performance back in week two of the 2002 NFL season that saw him drop an insane 291 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a single game.

Defensive Hero: Aqib Talib, New England Patriots (2013)

On the other side of the ball, we jump back to 2013 when Aqib Talib nabbed two interceptions and forced a fumble to help the Patriots take a 13-10 victory in a defensive struggle against the New York Jets.

TOTW 2 - Other Player Upgrade Predictions

Finally, we have the rest of the pack where we'll see three defensive and three offensive players get recognized for their week two performances this year.

Offense: Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp, Lamar Jackson

The competition is tight on both sides this week, but after a snub last week we're likely to see Tyler Lockett take one of the offensive TOTW slots with his 178-yard game.

PLAY TO WIN: Jackson had strong stats but also led his team to victory

Cooper Kupp put together a great performance this week with 163 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Lamar Jackson's nearly 350 combined receiving and rushing yards paired with three touchdowns.

Defense: Mike Edwards, Danielle Hunter, JC Jackson

You'd think great offense would mean less defense, but that wasn't the case with several big performances, starting with Mike Edwards and his crazy back-to-back pick sixes.

Danielle Hunter put together a great game with three sacks and seven tackles, while JC Jackson managed two interceptions to help the Patriots dominate the Jets this week.
