Ultimate Season 2 XP changes could delay start date
While many things were revealed, we also learned the bad news that Ultimate Season 2 could be delayed for Madden 22 Ultimate Team.
While initially expected on Thursday, December 9, it was stated during the Good Morning Madden reveal that an official release date has not yet been confirmed.
It was said that Ultimate Season 2 could drop early on December 8, could drop on December 9 as planned, or could be delayed until next week on December 13 or even later.
One of the things keeping things from being launched is that changes to daily objectives are causing bugs that EA Sports is hoping to smooth out prior to deployment.
When Ultimate Season 2 does go live, the following daily objectives are currently planned with these rewards:
- Win a Game (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Complete a Set (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Purchase a Pack (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Win a H2H or Solo Battle Game (1,000 Coins & 500 XP)
- Win 2 H2H or Solo Battle Games (1,000 Coins & 500 XP)
- Score 4 Touchdowns (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Get 15 Tackles (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Gain 250 Offensive Yards (100 Coins & 500 XP)
- Complete 3 of these 8 Daily Tasks (Strategy Item & 2,000 XP)
- Complete 5 of these 8 Daily Tasks (Coin Pack & 2,000 XP)
- Complete All 8 Daily Tasks (Midfield Pack & 2,000 XP)
In addition, they've changed the delivery of overall XP in challenges where you'll receive 1,000 XP the first time you've completed all 5 stars in a challenge, but a diminishing 200 XP then 100 XP the second and third time completing that same challenge.
This is intended to incentivize players to play different challenges and keep from the boredom that some have faced while grinding the same challenges repeatedly in MUT 22.
