Week 7 has closed for the NFL which means more Madden 22 roster updates are on the way! This week there should be a ton of players getting a boost to their ratings.
With ratings jumps also come to the deducted ratings for players who didn't perform well this week and we're here to predict them all.
Let's get into our Madden 22 roster update predictions after Week 7.
Madden 22 Roster update predictions after Week 7
There were some incredible games this week where certain players performed miraculously and definitely deserve a boost to their Madden 22 rating.
We could easily see some of these players end up on the MUT 22 TOTW 7 roster as well. At each position players balled out and racked up the stats this weekend. However, for others, a slight reduction in their rating is necessary.
Let's get started with the winners of the Madden 22 roster update.
The Winners
Of course, the winners of the Madden 22 roster update are players who laid it all out on the field this weekend.
From quarterbacks to wide receivers, here are a few players that definitely deserve a Madden 22 rating boost.
Joe Burrow (QB) - 80 OVR (+1) - Cincinnati Bengals
Not many QB's had the day Joe Burrow did against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Burrow came out swinging and led his team to a 41-17 win over their division rivals. His 400+ yard day is definitely the reason for thie dominant victory.
With his three-touchdown day and finishing with a 113.5 passer rating. Joe Burrow is guaranteed to go from an 80 OVR to an 81 when the Madden 22 roster update is live.
D'Ernest Johnson (RB) - 68 OVR (+2) - Cleveland Browns
It's crazy to think that D'Ernest Johnson currently has a Madden 22 rating of 68. The good news for him is that it's likely to change after his performance in Week 7.
On only 22 carries, D'Ernest Johnson racked up 146 yards and one touchdown. His yardage led the NFL in Week 7 and we expect Johnson will break 70 OVR after the Madden 22 roster update.
Ja'Marr Chase (WR) - 79 OVR (+2) - Cincinnati Bengals
Another Cincinnati Bengal to make this list is WR Ja'Marr Chase. Chase was the main target for Joe Burrow against the Ravens and Chase didn't disappoint.
Chase recorded an 82-yard touchdown, breaking multiple tackles on his way to the endzone. He finished the day with 8 receptions and 201 yards. We expect that Ja'Marr Chase should be added to the MUT TOTW 7 as well as a rating boost.
The Losers
It's somewhat sad to say, but there are going to be some players that get their ratings adjusted in the opposite direction as well.
The good news is they'll have next week to get their Madden 22 rating back on track, provided they actually perform well.
Davis Mills (QB) - 66 OVR (-1) - Houston Texans
It's not all Davis Mills fault that the Texans lost their game against the Arizona Cardinals. However, he didn't do much to help them either.
After throwing for just 135 yards on Sunday, Davis Mills is likely to see his Madden 22 rating drop from a 66 OVR to a 65, the two interceptions could reduce it even more. Hopefully, Mills will bounce back in Week 8.
Justin Fields (QB) - 74 OVR (-2) - Chicago Bears
We'd be surprised to see Justin Fields take the gridiron for the Bears in their next game after his performance in Week 7. With a 44.3 QBR in Week 7, expect a big drop in his Madden 22 rating.
He led the NFL in interceptions in Week 7, throwing three total interceptions and fumbling twice. Expect a solid two-point drop in Justin Fields Madden 22 rating.
Jared Goff (QB) - 75 OVR (-1) - Detroit Lions
Another quarterback that had an incredibly rough weekend was Jared Goff. Goff found himself facing his former team and failing miserably.
Goff finished the game with a 70.1 QBR, throwing two interceptions and being sacked twice. His Madden 22 rating shouldn't fall too far though, just a point down.
