The Las Vegas Raiders have moved from one controversy to the other. First, Jon Gruden was removed from Madden 22 and resigned as Head Coach.
Now, wide receiver Henry Ruggs has found himself removed from the team after his drunk-driving accident that cost a person their life.
Questions have surfaced about whether or not he should be removed from Madden 22, we're here to answer that question with an affirmative absolutely, and here's why.
The Henry Ruggs Drunk Driving Accident
For those of you that haven't heard yet, Henry Ruggs was the drunk driver that struck another vehicle in the Las Vegas area earlier this week.
He was driving his corvette at over 150 MPH when he struck the victim, Tina Tintor, car and the car burst into flames immediately. Tintor was trapped inside the car with her 3-year old Golden Retriever, Max.
Both Tintor and Max died at the scene, meanwhile, Henry Ruggs sat on the pavement, inebriated and being consoled by his girlfriend. He was combative with police and tried to rip out his IVs when he went to the hospital.
He faces charges of "DUI Resulting in Death" and "Reckless Driving Resulting in Death", he's already been released from the Las Vegas Raiders and will go on trial very soon.
Madden 22: Why Henry Ruggs should be removed
Some are arguing that this is just a mistake and Ruggs should be forgiven. However, this mistake was easily avoidable and resulted in someone losing their life.
Madden 22 needs to take the same steps they did with Jon Gruden, whom they removed from Madden 22 for his past antics and rhetoric, and remove Ruggs from the game.
This would serve as a message to all other NFL players and athlete's period. Your on-field and off-field actions have consequences, ones that will haunt you forever.
In this scenario, one of these consequences should be your image and likeness scrubbed from Madden 22 and the Las Vegas Raiders.
