Lost Judgement has been officially announced, SEGA's sequel to 2019's Judgement.

The action-thriller is due to be released later this year.

Here is everything you need to know.

The Announcement

Lost Judgement was officially announced in a reveal stream on May 7th.

Release Date

SEGA has confirmed that the game will be released worldwide on September 24th.

Platforms

Lost Judgement will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

A PC Port?

The Yakuza spin-off was briefly listed as being available on PC.

SEGA told PC Gamer that "The game is being announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sega has no plans to bring Lost Judgment to PC at this time."

The Yakuza games did eventually come to PC so it is possible that we will see Lost Judgement released in the future, but as of right now there are no plans.

Trailer

Check out the official announcement trailer that was uploaded to the official SEGA YouTube channel after the reveal stream on May 7th.

The description of the video reads,

"From the creators of the Yakuza series, Lost Judgment weaves noir narrative and action-packed investigations into a mystery thriller. With fresh cases to crack in a new location, take control of street-fighting detective Takayuki Yagami in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s upcoming action game. Do you have what it takes to solve the perfect crime?"

Locations

It was revealed in the stream that the game will be set in two locations, Kamurocho in Tokyo and Yokohama.

Season Pass and DLC

Despite not much information being known about the game, according to the Japanese PlayStation Store the game will be the first Yakuza game to feature a Season Pass, indicating there will likely be story-related DLC coming to the game at a later date.

Since 2014, SEGA has released a new Yakuza game on a fairly regular basis, around every year or so.

With the addition of a Season Pass and story DLC, it is possible that SEGA will be slowing down on their releases, instead opting for longer-term support for the game.
