LATEST - New Trailer Revealed

A brand new trailer for Lord of the Rings: Gollum was revealed at The Game Awards 2021 and offers a brief look at the story of the game. No update on the release date or window was provided.

When does Lord of the Rings Gollum come out?

At the moment, all we know is that Lord of the Rings Gollum hasn't got a specific release date - it's due out in 2022 and that's all we know. The delay from 2021 - following an announcement in 2019 - was reportedly due to a deal with Nacon stepping on to become co-publishers of the title.

If you check the game's Steam page, you'll find the following in place of a release date:

" Lurking until the time is right "

That's not exactly useful and it does little to help us figure out when to expect Lord of the Rings Gollum - or at least a release date announcement. We do have some wicked character models to look over, though, in the meantime...

When could we find out a specific release date?

PlayStation has put together a State of Play presentation for later today and we could be about to find out when exactly we'll see Lord of the Rings Gollum - a release date could be hours away!

The State of Play presentation is due to start at the following times:

  • 14:00 October 27th PST
  • 17:00 October 27th EST
  • 22:00 October 27th BST

At the moment, all we know is that it's due to last around 20 minutes and it's expected to be all about third-party games. Daedlic Entertainment's Gollum fits the bill and could be one of several incredible upcoming games to make an appearance during today's State of Play.

Keep an eye on Gollum's social media channels and PlayStation's social media channels for any announcements.
