The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) begins this evening. With teams ready to go and claim their place at Worlds 2022, there is a buzz in the air.
Competing in the League of Legends MSI 2022, G2 were the champions with Rogue Gaming coming second. Many roster changes happened for the lower teams in MSI. Will this be the same for the summer split of the LEC?

G2 Esports
- Top Lane: Sergen “Brokenblade” Çelik
- Jungle: Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski
- Mid Lane: Rasmus “caPs” Winther
- Bot Lane: Victor “Flakked” Lirola
- Support: Raphaël “Targamas” Crabbé
G2's roster has been the same since MSI. Placing high in the league, it makes sense that they have kept their team the same.
Rogue Gaming
- Top Lane: Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu
- Jungle: Kim “Malrang” Geun-seong
- Mid Lane: Emil “Larssen” Larsson
- Bot Lane: Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos
- Support: Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus
Rogue were surprising in the skill they put up to get to second place. As the bot and jungler were new last split, it'll be great to see how the teams synergy has grown.
Fnatic
- Top Lane: Martin “Wunder” Hansen
- Jungle: Iván Martín “Razork” Díaz
- Mid Lane: Marek “Humanoid” Brázda
- Bot Lane: Elias “Upset” Lipp
- Support: Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov
There are lots of eyes on Fnatic this season to see the new Jungle Top duo and how they will perform. Generally Fnatic have been a bit 'meh' but this split may show their true colours.
Misfits Gaming
- Top Lane: Joel Miro “Irrelevant” Scharoll
- Jungle: Lucjan “Shlatan” Ahmad
- Mid Lane: Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié
- Bot Lane: Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík
- Support: Mertai “Mersa” Sari
"HiRit" was undeniably a huge part of Misfits. But not being able to play for this split means that the team may struggle.
Team Vitality
- Top Lane: Barney “Alphari” Morris
- Jungle: Kang “Haru” Min-seung
- Jungle (Sub): Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo
- Mid Lane: Luka “Perkz” Perković
- Bot Lane: Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság
- Support: Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis
Team Vitality had troubles in the recent split. Despite the big names, they struggled to place where they should have been in LEC. Their jungle "Selfmade" has also been replaced by "Bo".
EXCEL Esports
- Top Lane: Finn “Finn” Wiestål
- Jungle: Mark “Markoon” van Woensel
- Mid Lane: Erlend “Nukeduck” Holm
- Bot Lane: Patrik “Patrik” Jírů
- Support: Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle
EXCEL have kept their team the same since swapping their support mid-split. The spring split was the first time that the team made it to the LEC playoffs.
MAD Lions
- Top Lane: İrfan Berk “Armut” Tükek
- Jungle: Javier “Elyoya” Prades
- Mid Lane: Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer
- Bot Lane: William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen
- Support: Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser
With only one key roster change, Lions are hoping that their team will be enough to make it to playoffs.
SK Gaming
- Top Lane: Janik “Jenax” Bartels
- Jungle: Erberl “Gilius” Demir
- Mid Lane: Daniel “Sertuss” Gamani
- Bot Lane: Jean “Jezu” Massol
- Support: Erik “Treatz” Wessén
SK Gaming has left their roster the same since the first split. Fans are excited to see the same guys try and place better than eighth.
Team BDS
- Top Lane: Tobiasz “Agresivoo” Ciba
- Jungle: Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki
- Mid Lane: Ilias “NUCLEARINT” Bizriken
- Bot Lane: Matthew “xMatty” Coombs
- Support: Robert “Erdote” Nowak
One game away from placing last, BDS have had a complete overhaul of their players. With the roster for this split, they are hoping for strength in their side lanes.
Astralis
