We're finally going to get to see the Madden 23 cover in just a few days. The teaser, however, gave us an idea of who it was.
We believe that the cover athlete this time will be none other than Hall of Famer John Madden and we'll show you why.
Let's take a look at the teaser and some of the other news in Madden 23.
Why John Madden is the clear choice
After looking at the Madden 23 cover teaser, we don't see the cover athlete being anyone else but John Madden.
Madden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 5, 2006. His .759 winning percentage during the regular season ranks highest among coaches with 100 career victories
Check out the teaser below:
With his voice in the background of the teaser and the caption of the tweet itself, its got to be John Madden as the next Madden 23 cover.
The cover will officially be revealed on June 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM ET. We have a countdown going on right now if you'd like to join us as well.

Madden 23 Release Date
The next thing we're hoping to learn during MaddenDay tomorrow is what the official release date of the game will be.
At the moment, we believe the expected Madden 23 release date is Friday, August 19, 2022. We'll be sure to let you know if anything changes or gets delayed.
We should also find out more surrounding the different editions of Madden 23. They'll likely have a Standard Edition or an MVP Edition as well.
Madden 23 Cover Athletes
The Madden 23 cover will likely take a bit of inspiration from prior editions. Last year, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady made it onto the cover.
Back in 2007, the Hall of Fame Edition of Madden 22 had John Madden on the cover. You can check out that cover on an Xbox 360 below:
Considering that there will be multiple editions, we wonder who will make it onto the separate Madden 23 cover.
We think that players such as Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp could make a clear choice as a special edition of Madden 23.
