Italy's new home kit for 2022 has been revealed, leaving many fans wondering if PUMA has announced a release date yet.
The jersey was most likely intended for the national team's 2022 World Cup campaign; however, after the current European champions lost to Portugal in the playoffs, the Azzurri won't be making an appearance in Qatar this winter.
That doesn't mean it's not a great kit though. In fact, we believe the shirt would make for an excellent addition to any kit collection, especially when teamed with a pair of your best football boots.
So, without further delay, here's everything we know about the 2022 Italy home kit so far...
Italy Home Kit 2022 Release Date
As mentioned, the Italian team's new home strip was likely due to release ahead of the first-ever World Cup scheduled in winter.

However, with the Italian national side failing to qualify, Italy's new home kit has dropped much sooner than perhaps first anticipated.
More specifically, the Italian jersey launched on 30 May 2022, meaning the shirt is available to buy right now.
Italy Home Kit 2022 Design
Italy's new home kit features a stylish chequered design, with four large sections arriving in two not too dissimilar blue tones as is customary with the Azzurri nickname.
You'll then find the blue accented by several gold details including the PUMA branding and the four stars above the badge to represent the national side's four World Cup titles.
You also get the colours of the Italian flag pinstriped around the collar of the shirt to match the Italia badge.
Then, inside the shirt, you'll notice the years 1934, 1938, 1982, and 2006 printed just under the collar.
These dates correspond to the four occasions the Italian national side has lifted the World Cup trophy, which is a nice touch to connect the shirt to the team's previous achievements.
Where To Buy The Italy Home Kit 2022
One of the first places we'd recommend checking for the new Italian home kit will be the FIGC store, which is the national team's official sportswear shop.
Alternatively, we'd recommend looking at the PUMA website as another place to buy the kit come release day.
You should also find a listing at Kitbag soon.
