Even some veterans of the Pokémon franchise might struggle to tell you exactly how to redeem a Mystery Gift in the newest games in the series. Something that has only really become a common feature since the Nintendo DS days.
You'll need an internet connection to redeem your Mystery Gift as they are only redeemable using a wi-fi connection. Once this is all set up, here's how you redeem your free Mystery Gift in Pokémon Legends: Arceus!
How to Redeem a Mystery Gift in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
AS we've already mentioned, you'll need an internet connection first and foremost. You'll also need to be past the fifth main mission in the game before the ability to redeem a Mystery Gift is unlocked.
Once you're past this point in the game, the process of redeeming a Mystery Gift is actually quite simple. You can access the menu by pressing UP on the D-pad anywhere in the game, as long as you're not in a cutscene or battle!
From there, you can navigate the different menus using ZL or ZR, and you're looking to head to the tab represented by a Wi-Fi-type icon. On this menu you can play around with your online settings but - more importantly - this is where you will redeem your Mystery Gift.
Select the option from the menu and select 'get via internet'. This will trigger your Nintendo Switch to start searching online for any gifts you might be eligible for. Each gift can only be redeemed once per account.
There is currently only one gift available at the time of writing. You can get the Fancy Kimono, Fancy Bottoms and the Baneful Fox Mask. These items are redeemable to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. These items are only available until Monday, 9 May 2022.
