Horizon Forbidden West, which offers a huge world and intense combat, has left many hyped for launch day. Here is everything you need to know before the game's official launch!
Latest - Horizon Forbidden West is Just Hours Out
After years of waiting, Horizon Forbidden West is just a few hours out! You can preload Horizon Forbidden West now, and players will soon be able to hop into the action.
You can find all you need to know before launch including the Horizon Forbidden West release time below!
Horizon Forbidden West Release Date and Time
Horizon Forbidden West finally launches this Friday on February 18th, and any trophies earned before March 25th will go towards an environmental push to plant trees. This is a pretty decent incentive to get in there and play the game early.
Generally speaking, PlayStation is pretty consistent when it comes to their release times. If you have preordered in time, you should be able to get in there at Horizon Forbidden West's release time, which is midnight (12am) your local time.
If the game doesn't unlock at that time, it seems likely that PlayStation is having an issue. If this is the case, leave it for a few minutes and try again. It seems that the wait will be worth it, though. We loved the game and, if your experience is anything like ours, you might too.
Platforms
Horizon Forbidden West launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with robust upgrade plans. Although they were originally going to charge for it, the upgrade from PS4 to PS5 is free. This means buying the PS4 version of the game is the best idea.
This will save you a little money and get you the exact same experience.
Horizon Forbidden West download size
Horizon Forbidden West is currently being reported to be almost 90 GB on launch. It seems likely that this will only grow as the game continues to receive patches and upgrades.
We'll update you right here if anything changes before launch. With the release only a few days out, we can't see it changing all that much.
