God of War Ragnarok has proven to be one of the best releases of all time and will almost certainly sweep up a number of awards at the upcoming Game awards.
Ragnarok can also be a game filled with many challenges, with some enemies undefeatable if you aren't sporting the right gear.
From the best playstyle builds to hidden armour unlockable at the end of the game, check below for all the best armour that you can acquire in God of War Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok Best Armour
One of the best parts of God of War Ragnarok is the fact that all armour types can be upgraded throughout and taken to the very peak if you so desire.
If you find a layout that suits your playstyle, or one that you think Kratos simply looks fire in, you can sport that set for your entire game.
However, there is a clear standout armour that can be acquired in the end game, but you'll certainly have to work hard to get it.
The Berserker Armour is by far and away the best armour type available in God of War Ragnarok with this stylish all-rounder acquired by defeating the Berserkers found throughout the realms.
These fights are some of the toughest you will face in God of War Ragnarok but they will be worth the struggle once you don this get-up.
Suit your Play-Style
God of War Ragnarok is a game that invites many different play styles and there are certain armour types that support each method.
If you're an offensive player that likes to go on rampaging attacks, then your best bet is the Guiding Light Armour, a loadout that will permit you greater damage when tackling enemies.
On the other hand, if you prefer a more laid-back and tactical approach, then the Steinbjorn Armour is the one for you, with this armour set-up granting you greater defence and luck on the parry.
We spent most of our run in the Nidavellir Armour acquired near the start of the game, before making a switch late in the story, but we won't tell you about that one to avoid any risk of spoilers!
Whatever your play style, the armour choices in God of War Ragnarok permit you to be as weird and wonderful as you like, mixing and matching different elements and shields to find the perfect loadout that works for you.
