Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has called time on his stay in Turin after 17 years of keeping the goals at the Juventus Stadium safe.
Although the expectation was that the 40-year-old would retire from the game altogether, Buffon admitted that he had received "interesting proposals" to extend his glittering career.
His announcement prompted links with Liverpool -whose goalkeeping crisis was intensified by Loris Karius' diabolical performance in the Champions League final- and Paris Saint-Germain.
Corriere dello Sport, however, reported that Buffon will sign a two-year deal with the French champions, earning roughly €8 million p.a.
Given the news, RealSport look at the reasons behind Buffon's move to PSG.
