Gear of War fans will be happy to know that they should expect to receive a shiny new DLC much sooner than they may have thought.
Here's all the details.
Hivebusters
Developer The Coalition has confirmed in an interview with IGN, that there is a new DLC coming to Gears 5, named Hivebusters.
Zoe Curnoe, who is principal lead producer on the game said in the interview that, ' All I can say is December and the title is Hivebusters', which means that this could be one fantastic festive season ahead.
When exactly in December the DLC will be released in not known just yet.
What's in the DLC?
At the moment, the details of what to expect are limited, however, what's probably the most exciting aspect of the DLC is the chance to showcase some of the Xbox Series X and Series S's power.
The interview continues to bring in Mike Rayner, who is The Coalition's Technical Director to expand more on just what this DLC could bring to the table.
'Global illumination', and ' ultra-res textures' are examples he notes, which leads us to believe that we'll see some impressive lighting and detail in the DLC.
Extra bonuses
Of course, it doesn't seem like they'll be leaving you hanging until December, and there are some fun bonuses for Gears fans to come ahead of the DLC release.
On the launch day of the Xbox Series X and S, there will be two extra difficulty modes called Inconceivable and Ironman.
Ironman has permadeath in the campaign, so watch your step!
You'll also get a bunch of new weapon skins, but one of the best features is that you'll be able to swap Marcus Fenix with Dave Bautista's 'Batista'!
For those who may not know, Dave Bautista is a wrestler turned actor who's featured in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Spectre, and many, many more!
We're super excited to see how the Hivebusters DLC turns out, be sure to check back in with us for all the latest.
