As we head towards the latter stages of the Premier League season, things are really starting to hot up in the 2022/23 FPL campaign.
Cup competitions are reaching the knockout stages which means plenty of PL matches will need to be rescheduled.
That process has already begun and it has significant ramifications in Fantasy Premier League, causing Blank and Double Gameweeks to be formed.
Four teams are without a fixture in Gameweek 25 and another four teams play twice.
So, we're taking you through four things you must consider for GW25.
GW25 Blanks & Doubles
Four clubs will have a Double Gameweek in GW25. These four teams are:
- Liverpool
- Arsenal
- Wolves
- Everton
Four clubs will have a Blank Gameweek in GW25. These four teams are:
- Brentford
- Brighton & Hove Albion
- Manchester United
- Newcastle United
1. Arsenal triple up
Arsenal's Double Gameweek 25 fixtures and their subsequent matches make a Gunners triple-up essential.
Arsenal's next seven fixtures are as follows:
- GW24 - Aston Villa (A)
- GW25 - Leicester (A)
- GW25 - Everton (H)
- GW26 - Bournemouth (H)
- GW27 - Fulham (A)
- GW28 - Crystal Palace (H)
- GW29 - Leeds (H)
It's worth noting that seven of Arsenal's nine clean sheets this season have come on the road.
We would recommend holding at least one Arsenal defender as well as two attacking options.
2. Liverpool assets
It may be easy to get carried away with Liverpool's DGW25 fixtures as they play Crystal Palace (A) and Wolves (H), but we think you should tread with caution here.
Jurgen Klopp will field a full-strength team for their Champions League knockout game against Real Madrid on Tuesday, 21 February.
Four days later they face Crystal Palace, and then four days after that, they face Wolves.
These Double Gameweek fixtures are followed by a giant clash with Manchester United on Sunday, 5 March.
So, we expect to see plenty of rotation from Liverpool.
The likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota could all be in and out of the side.
3. What to do with Brighton
Brighton have been sensational since the resumption of the Premier League after the World Cup.
The Seagulls' attack has been on fire. Brighton's average goals scored per game has increased to 2.29 from 1.64 (pre-post World Cup).
However, they blank in GW25. So, should you still buy Brighton assets? We think so.
Brihgton's fixtures around GW25 are as follows:
- GW24 - Fulham (H)
- GW26 - West Ham (H)
- GW27 - Leeds (A)
- GW27 - Crystal Palace (H)
Your best bet is to capitalise on a Brighton player now and bench them in Gameweek 25.
Brihgton's most appealing assets right now are Alexis Mac Allister, Solly March and Kauro Mitoma.
4. Free hit?
First of all, it's important to note that you can only bench three of your outfield players in Gameweek 25.
If you have more than three players from the above teams, you'll either need to transfer certain players out before GW25, or play your Free Hit chip.
A Free Hit allows for unlimited transfers in a single Gameweek.
It can usually only be taken once a season.
By playing the Free Hit chip, managers can replace their entire squad for that Gameweek but their 15-man line-up is returned to how it was at the start of the Gameweek for the next deadline.
You should only use this chip in GW25 if you have 6 or more players from the four teams without a fixture.
