Flexispot BS1B Office Chair Review

Back when we reviewed the Flexispot E8 Standing desk I was pretty open in stating that I would still be mixing up my time spent standing and sitting. At the time, I was using a Noblechairs EPIC Black Gaming Chair and it's easily the best gaming or office chair I've ever used.

Then, along come Flexispot once again offing the chance to review their BS1B Office Chair in an attempt to change my mind. So, how does the BS1B stack up compared to a slightly more expensive gaming chair option? Let me break it down for you!

Style & Finesse

Out of the box, the Flexispot BS1B is incredibly easy to put together and could probably be done using pure initiative rather than using instructions. As someone who has built their fair share of flatpack and office furniture over the years, it really ranks above most other items I've dealt with.

Once assembled, it has a beautiful delicate frame that's pleasing to look at and wouldn't be out of place regardless of the set-up you have in place. Naturally, it looks especially good when paired with the Flexispot E8 desk but pairs nicely with any wood effect or block colour desk.

But is it comfortable?

It may look nice, but does the Flexispot BS1B meet our comfort requirements? Honestly, it's an incredibly comfy product that offers brilliant support but it won't be for everyone. The lumbar support is there but it's slightly less adjustable compared to the options you'll get with a premium gaming chair like Noblechairs or Secret Labs. When compares to other office chairs in the market, it's right up there if not best in class in this aspect.

You can tighten the tilt function on the chair to give yourself less or more leeway but doesn't always give the desired result the first time. This is about the only time that the Flexispot BS1B falls short in comparison to the big gaming chair brands.

Verdict

As a direct comparison, the Flexispot BS1B is an incredible option if you're looking for top-level comfort, style and value. Coming in at a full RRP of £259.99 leaves it in a class of its own compared to alternatives. You would have to drop at least £300 for many competitor products with even remotely similar features and build quality.

RealSport Rating: 4 stars (out of 5)

The only place where it falls short, again, in comparison to much more expensive products, is the precise adjustability of the back support. We really can't fault the product in any other aspect and would highly recommend it if you're in the market for a new office chair.
