FIFA 24 is the continuation of the iconic franchise, with EA Sports FC 24 set to be the official new name moving forward.
News regarding the new game has been scant, but we're looking ahead to the future of the FIFA franchise and seeing who could feature as the cover star on FIFA 24.
With FIFA and EA parting ways, there could be a battle over who can get the best talent as the face of their game.
Find out everything you need to know about the FIFA 24 cover star below.
LATEST - FIFA 24 Leaks
Prolific leaker @FUTZONEFIFA has taken to Twitter to reveal a host of new information regarding FC 24, with news leaking for pretty much every feature you can imagine.
Here's a breakdown of everything leaked so far by FUTZONE:
As you can see, the main headline features centre around dynamic packs and cross play coming to Pro Clubs.
Cross-play implementation for Pro Clubs has been wanted for some time and the arrival of this feature is set to please a wide range of players.
Something more controversial, however, is the confirmation that dynamic packs are coming to FC 24, with this feature rewarding those who spend money in the game.
FIFA 24 Cover Star
The cover star for FIFA 24 is a very important decision for the company, as it needs to be someone with enough star power to draw the audience to them, while also encapsulating any values the game may want to be selling.
In recent years, Kylian Mbappe has been the go-to player, as he is young, one of the best and most exciting players on the planet, and appeals to a wide audience.
For FIFA 23, he was joined by Chelsea Women's Sam Kerr on the Ultimate Edition, who made history as the first female player to feature on a global FIFA cover!
Again, she is one of the best players in the game and her appearance represented the new grounds the title made in catering to women's football, with women's club sides featuring for the first time.
Predictions
There is one name at the top of the list for the FIFA 24 cover star - Kylian Mbappe!
He is the obvious choice, having been the face of the game for FIFA 21, 22, and 23.
As one of the best and most well-known players on the planet, EA can't go wrong in selecting him as a representative for the game.
Whether the name remains as FIFA or switches to EA Sports FC 24, EA may have an exclusive deal with the Frenchman to feature for them.
If the rights to Mbappe go elsewhere, then some other players who could feature are:
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe look set to be the new Messi and Ronaldo, so who better to take over the reins than the Norwegian?
He has had a phenomenal goalscoring record wherever he plays and that has continued in the light blue of Manchester City, where he keeps breaking records!
Lionel Messi
With Argentina winning the World Cup, it looks like Lionel Messi has secured himself as the GOAT.
He is an ambassador for the rival game eFootball 2023, which could throw a spanner in the works, but having Messi on the cover of FIFA 24 for potentially the last time would be a nice touch.
Jude Bellingham
Mbappe and Haaland are already firmly established as two of the best players in their positions, but another youngster is steadily gaining that reputation.
Jude Bellingham could go to whatever club he chooses and this summer could be a pivotal moment in his career.
His personal journey could be highlighted by becoming the face of not just FIFA 24, but the titles beyond too!
FIFA 24 Editions
As always, we're expecting a couple of editions of FIFA 24, with a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Edition released.
Each edition will have a different cover, which gives FIFA the chance to mix things up.
Mbappe was the sole cover star on the worldwide FIFA 23 Standard Edition, with a solo Sam Kerr special edition available in Australia and New Zealand.
The two of them featured together on the Ultimate Edition and we would love to see that again, or potentially even expand the faces involved!
EA is already expanding the roster of clubs included in their next title with the inclusion of more women's clubs, and hopefully more leagues.
The Ultimate Edition of FIFA 24 could celebrate inclusivity by putting a whole bunch of stars from the men's and women's games on the cover, with a massive collaborative effort!
