With the season drawing to a close, EA Sports have started handing out Man of the Match cards in FIFA 22 for those stars that have performed on the biggest stage.

With a number of players competing in Cup Finals, we've seen a host of new cards join Ultimate Team in the last few weeks.

The latest batch of Man of the Match cards has landed, with a Champions League hero leading the charge.

Cup Final Heroes

Man of the Match cards are handed out to those stars who perform when it matters most.

Handing them out for Cup Final heroes - either domestically or on the world stage - you know someone has had a top game when a nice orange card appears with their face on it.

NEW BATCH - More Man of the Match cards have arrived in FIFA 22

In the latest batch, we've seen upgrades for domestic cup heroes - such as Mehdi Taremi - but also those who turned up on the European stage.

Given his performance in the thrilling Champions League Final, we're in no way surprised to see Thibaut Courtois arrive in the latest batch.

Similarly to Courtois, UEFA Conference League dominator Chris Smalling has also earned himself a Man of the Match item, with his Roma side lifting the trophy under manager Jose Mourinho.

Things are about to get Messi

Lionel Messi may not have scored at Wembley in the Finalissima match between Argentina and Italy, but he more than played his part with an excellent range of passing and skills on show.

EA Sports congratulated the Argentinian star after the match and announced that a brand new Man of the Match card will be arriving on Friday.

With a major 97 OVR Messi currently kicking around in packs in the Ligue 1 TOTS, this Man of the Match offering will be the second boost in a week for the Argentine captain.
