FIFA 22 TOTW 11: Haaland hits major milestone with latest performance

We're back again taking a look at the standout performances from this weekend and there are certainly some stars determined to early their place in the upcoming TOTW in FIFA 22.

There were gritty defensive performances, milestones hit and creative masterclasses as Saturdays games finished up. Here are the players who we think showed up big time and have earned a Team of the Week spot up to now.

Erling Haaland

Without a doubt, Erling Haaland just isn't human. He returned yesterday from a hip injury that was due to keep him out of action until early 2022 and you just know he was on the scoresheet. In a convincing 3-1 victory for Dortmund, Haaland made but a brief cameo and still found the back of the net.

That goal also meant that he's now got 50 goals in 50 games in the Bundesliga, an incredible record that's worthy of TOTW honours. He will be hoping to stay healthy for the rest of the season so that the big clubs come calling in the summer.

Diogo Jota

Sometimes it's okay to pass on a FIFA 22 gaming session to play the beautiful game in real life. Diogo Jota did exactly that yesterday after finding himself in the starting lineup for Liverpool against Southampton.

It took only 97 seconds for him to find the back of the net, one of two goals he would score in the game. His gamer celebration was a nice nod to where he could have been if not playing first-team football in the Premier League. His performance is well worthy of a TOTW card, we wonder if he'll use his card in Ultimate Team?

Kalvin Phillips

Leeds United did not have the best of times when they visited the AmEx stadium to play Brighton, but one defensive performance that stood out was Kalvin Phillips in his new Centre-Back role.

While he's still very new to the position, you wouldn't know that having seen him command defensive area while ensuring that the team stayed organised and steadfast against a relentless Brighton attack. Ultimately the game ended 0-0 and Phillips played a huge role in earning Leeds a point.

This could be one of the most unique FIFA 22 TOTW cards with Phillips having played out of his natural CDM position.
