There is plenty of consensus on many players and some curveball picks included too, so check out all our Premier League TOTS XIs below.

David's XI

STANDING OUT FROM THE CROWD - David was the only one to pick Ramsdale and Robertson in his XI

"Aaron Ramsdale is obviously not on the same level as Ederson or Alisson, however, his impact and development since joining Arsenal has been exceptional.

"Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joao Cancelo are such obvious picks, I don't need to explain their inclusions. Joel Matip has been a revelation for Liverpool this season, coming out from the back to help build attacks, and being solid when Virgil van Dijk hasn't been his usual best. Andrew Robertson makes the side simply because I believe he has been the fourth-best defender from the selection offered! If Chelsea players had been included, or John Stones, it would be a different matter.

"Declan Rice is having another outstanding season, and it is only a matter of time before he moves to a club that can offer him regular Champions League football. Bernardo Silva has been Manchester City's most consistent player all season, upping his game again with Kevin De Bruyne out of the side for periods. It was a tough one between Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka for the final spot, but for me, the Englishman pips it due to the belief he brings to an Arsenal side looking to regain success.

"Of course, Mohamed Salah makes the front three, joined by Man City's most exciting player Phil Foden. Foden may not be getting unreal numbers yet, but it is surely a matter of time before he is right up there. That's not all his game is about, however, as he always seems to make things happen on the pitch. At times, Cristiano Ronaldo has dragged Manchester United through matches on his own, and the fact that he is still banging goals in a dismal United side shows why he is the best player the world has ever seen."

Mark's XI

RICE SIDELINED - Mark is the only person not to include Declan Rice in his XI

"Starting with my front three, Mohamed Salah and Heung-Min Son walk into the side, but it was a tough decision between the likes of Cristian Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Harry Kane for the third attacker spot. The Liverpool man just edges it for me, given how well he has adapted to playing in the central striker role in recent months, accommodating for Diaz on the Reds’ left flank.

"In midfield, Kevin De Bruyne was a shoo-in. It was a toss-up between Rodri and Fabinho in the holding midfield role, but the Spaniard’s influence on Man City’s success this year has been undeniable. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is my third midfielder. The 20-year-old has been simply outstanding for the Gunners in what has been a tough season, scoring eleven goals and registering five assists too.

"The defence really picks itself. The two best full-backs in world football, Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander-Arnold slot in at left and right back. The colossus that is Virgil Van Dijk partners Manchester City’s Ruben Dias in defence. Both centre-halves have been questioned at times this season but comfortably remain the best defenders in the league, whilst possessing serious quality on the ball.

"In net, the two Brazilian GKs, Ederson and Alisson, are of course the standout options. Alisson’s calming effect on Liverpool’s back line is why I have gone for him over the City ’keeper, but it really could go either way."

Matt's XI

LIVERPOOL > CITY - Matt picked five from the Merseyside club, with four from the blue half of Manchester

"Naturally, my team has ended up looking like a Liverpool-Man City combined 11, but it's hard to select players from other teams when Klopp and Guardiola's sides have been so dominant once again.

"You may be surprised to see more Liverpool players given current standings, but Liverpool's outstanding defence are hard to look past, especially when City's star defender, Ruben Dias, has been absent for such long periods.

"Declan Rice has oozed class once again this year, showcasing why so many clubs are ready to pay the big bucks to acquire his services.

"Phil Foden and CR7 may be surprise picks to some, but the Man City academy graduate has been one of my favourite players to watch this year, and how could I possibly leave out the greatest player to ever grace the game? (Sorry Messi fans!)"

Mike's XI

ENGLISH EAGLE - Conor Gallagher makes a surprise appearance in Mike's XI

"Jose Sa pushed Ederson close, but for me, you can't argue with the best defensive record in the league.

"Trent Alexander-Arnold has been sensational this season, and Virgil van Dijk has looked close to his best, meaning he just edges out Joel Matip in my XI. City duo Joao Cancelo and Ruben Dias complete my defence that is solely made up of this year's two best clubs.

"KDB is a must in midfield, the man is unreal. Declan Rice and Conor Gallagher may raise eyebrows but both young English stars have been the star men for their teams, with Rice now establishing himself as one of the world's best in that position.

"Salah is an obvious choice, but Kane over Son for me is purely based on performances rather than stats. CR7 has taken plenty of criticism too, but his haul of 16 goals in a far from impressive United team is pretty good."

Tom's XI

CLASS TOUCH - Mahrez's inclusion may show readers where Tom's loyalties lie

"Alisson has been the best keeper in the league without a doubt. The two full-backs pick themselves, Joao and Trent are the best in Europe, let alone the Premier League. Toss up between Matip and Rudiger to partner VVD at centre-back but I’ve opted for the former as I feel he is incredibly underrated.

"Rice pipped Rodri by a whisker due to the fact that he has carried this West Ham team to a top-half finish as well as a UEL semi-final. De Bruyne and Bernardo have been near faultless this season. Bernardo was the best player in the league across the winter months.

"I’ve opted for Son over Kane, only Salah can better his goalscoring record in the league this season. Salah will inevitably win the PL POTY award so he has to be in there, whilst Riyad Mahrez makes the cut after enjoying his finest season since joining Manchester City."
