Latest - POTM winner revealed
The official EA Sports FIFA Twitter account has just announced the winner of the Serie A Player of the Month for January.
It's official, Giacomo Raspadori is January's POTM and has received a big boost to his Silver base card in Ultimate Team with a new SBC card.
Raspadori has been handed an 83 OVR card with good pace, dribbling and shooting.
However, it would be an understatement to say that the Italian is not at the power curve in the current game cycle.
Release Date
EA has brought Serie A Player of the Month to Ultimate Team for the first time in FIFA 22, but it doesn’t seem to run the same way as some of the other leagues.
You won’t be able to vote for your Serie A winner, but we will likely see a winner announced in the week beginning Monday, 31 January.
Dusan Vlahovic was last month's winner, and his SBC is still available to unlock in FUT 22.
Contenders
Several players really stood in the Serie A out over the first month of 2022.
Ciro Immobile
With four goals in four games in January, Ciro Immobile may have been thinking he was the favourite for the Player of the Month award.
It looks like he is set to miss out though, despite continuing his clinical goal-scoring form that has seen his tally rise to 17 goals for the season.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Immobile’s Lazio teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was also in contention after scoring two goals and assisting two more in January.
Lazio only won one of those four matches though, which could be the reason that their key players are not taking home the individual accolade.
Domenico Berardi
Is Domenico Berardi one of Europe’s most underrated players? The Italian winger is in double figures for both goals and assists this season in just 20 appearances!
Two goals and three assists in four matches is a fantastic return for Berardi, especially when you take into consideration, he is playing for a mid-table club.
Tammy Abraham
England forward Tammy Abraham seems to be enjoying his time in the Italian capital as he is now into double figures for goals this season.
Four goals in January including strikers against Juventus and AC Milan put Abraham among the favourites for a new SBC card.
Giacomo Raspadori
Sassuolo’s 21-year-old forward looks set to be crowned as January’s Player of the Month after scoring three times in four matches.
The Italian youngster has been leaked online with a new 83 OVR which may leave some fans disappointed at such a low rating for the new SBC.
