FIFA 22 Season 4: EA mistake leaves tough choice in your Storyline Player Picks

Season 4 has arrived in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, bringing with it loads of new objectives and rewards.

Storyline Player Picks are a staple of any new season, and Season 4 is no different with player picks at LVL 15 and LVL 30.

There are some top-class items up for grabs, but which one should you go for?

Latest - Osei-Tutu transfer goes through

A bit of a disaster on behalf of EA, Jordi Osei-Tutu no longer plays for Nottingham Forest and has now seen his Storyline Player card change clubs.

Without the Championship link, Osei-Tutu's card is fairly irrelevant as there have been no EFL League One objectives this season, or ever come to think of it.

What would have been a great RB option in the Championship is now utterly disappointing, but well done to those of you who managed to unlock him before the transfer!

Those mentioned will also get his new Rotherham card too, double whammy!

Season 4

The official start date of Season 4 was Thursday, 3 February, after Season 3 gave us loads of top content.

As with previous seasons, it commenced at a new start time from last year, going live at 4am ET / 8am GMT.

Season 4 will run for exactly six weeks and finish on Thursday, 17 March.

Take a closer look at all the upcoming promos and rewards in FUT 22 Season 4.

Level 15 (OVR 84)

There are three 84-rated items available at LVL 15 in Season 4, and you will need to reach 26,600 XP to unlock them.

Rafik Guitane

Not bad. Not great, but not bad. 3* skill moves and weak foot is a bummer, although a Deadeye chemistry style does take Rafik Guitane to an 88 OVR CAM.

French links are also a positive, but with Lincoln, Mateus Uribe, and Adel Taarabt already available (and better), Guitane is not the one for us.

Jordi Osei-Tutu

Slightly off-putting straight away are Jordi Osei-Tutu's in-game stats which have him down as an 81 OVR right-back, rather than the 84 on the card!

However, the Englishman rises to 87 OVR with the Shadow chemistry style and could be a useful player.

Mohamed Daramy

Ajax winger Mohamed Daramy has the stats of an 86 OVR winger, and 89 if he is on full chemistry. The Marksman style takes him to 91 OVR, so he really is quality.

Danish chemistry links are not desirable in FUT 22 though, and given the options of Jesper Karlsson and Ogechika Heil already in the Eredivisie, we aren't sure this is the right choice.

That being said, he is now the best one!

Verdict: Mohamed Daramy

Level 30 (OVR 87)

The three 87-rated items are available at LVL 30, and you will need to reach 100,000 XP to unlock them!

Reiss Nelson

This is a nice card, although the 3* weak foot is disappointing. Reiss Nelson boasts the stats of a 91 OVR player with the Engine style and will dazzle with his pace and dribbling.

The David Neres Squad Foundations SBC is the only RM/RW option better than Nelson in the Eredivisie, so if you didn't complete that, Nelson is your guy.

Ruben Vinagre

The 87 OVR on this card is a little misleading as he has the stats of an 85 OVR, but add the Shadow style and his attributes take him to 90 OVR at LWB and LB.

If you already unlocked the Rafa Soares Squad Foundation card then you may not want another Portuguese/Liga NOS left-back, but it is a good card!

Gyasi Zardes

We like the look of Gyasi Zardes' new card and it is easy to see why with 89 Pace, 90 Strength, and 5* weak foot. The Marksman style takes him to 91 OVR but leaves his pace at 89.

Our only concern is the lack of MLS special cards currently in the game, so we are hoping for MLS Squad Foundations to be released soon to make Zardes our top pick.

Verdict: Reiss Nelson
