The Future Stars event is coming to an end in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, but it is set to make way for the classic Road to the Final promo.
We have seen Road to the Final items before in Ultimate Team so we know roughly what to expect, and these cards can be a great investment opportunity if their team goes all the way!
Take a look at who we think will be released later this week, ready to receive an upgrade each time their team progresses.
Road to the Final
The official start date of the Road to the Final campaign has finally been announced! The new event will kick off on Friday, 18 February.
RTTF cards will be released into packs at approximately 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on the day of release.
Each player’s Road To The Final item will receive an upgrade each time their team succeeds at select stages throughout the tournament.
Last year saw Mason Mount as one of the top-rated cards in the promo, with his card reaching 90 OVR as Chelsea got all the way to the final and won.
Champions League
The majority of cards in the event will come from the Champions League, and with four English clubs still in the competition, expect to see at least one player from each!
Jadon Sancho
England winger Jadon Sancho has hardly set the world alright since returning to the Premier League, but he has looked sharper in recent weeks.
Manchester United faces a tricky tie against Atletico Madrid in the last 16, so this could be a quick one and done for any United player included!
Thiago Silva
A massive pace boost is needed for Thiago Silva to fit the meta, and EA could provide one this week.
Chelsea will certainly be represented in the event as they are the reigning European champions, and who better than their classy Brazilian defender?
Riyad Mahrez
Manchester City already boasts a wealth of special cards in FUT 22, but we think another Riyad Mahrez item could be added to the list.
Man City is likely to progress deep into the tournament, so any of Pep Guardiola's men will be ones to keep an eye out for.
Diogo Jota
EA is sure to include a Liverpool player in the promo, so perhaps in-form Portuguese striker, Diogo Jota could be selected.
The Reds will most likely progress through the early rounds of the knockout stages and have already taken a 2-0 lead in their tie against Inter.
Presnel Kimpembe
PSG centre-back Presnel Kimpembe is yet to receive a special card in FIFA 22, and we think this could be his chance.
The Frenchman's base card is already incredible, so this card, with the potential for upgrades, will no doubt be one of the most expensive cards on the market.
Europa League
EA has confirmed that players from the other European competitions will be included, but with an extra round of knockouts, how will the upgrades work?
Adama Traore
Adama Traore has returned to Barcelona and could now receive an epic special card during the Road to the Final event.
Barca dropped down into the Europa League after finishing third in their UCL group, and now faces a tough tie against Napoli!
Jarrod Bowen
After topping their group, David Moyes' men are already into the last 16 without having to play in the added playoff round.
Jarrod Bowen has been in fine form this season and is certainly deserving of some recognition within FUT 22.
Europa Conference League
Last but not least is the Europa Conference League, and some massive teams in Europe have a great chance of winning the inaugural UECL.
Jamie Vardy
Yet to receive a special item in FUT 22, the Road to the Final could be Jamie Vardy's chance to shine.
The Foxes face Randers in the playoff round and must be one of the favourites to go and win the whole thing.
Philipp Max
EA has released plenty of Liga NOS and Eredivisie cards this season, and this looks like another opportunity to do so.
PSV's Philipp Max has featured in promo events before, so we are backing the German left-back to receive a new item this week.
