FIFA 22: Rashford's rating continues to slide after EURO penalty miss

EA has just dropped the latest ratings update in FIFA 22, and two of England's Euro 2020 final penalty missers have been focused on this week.

One young England international has thrived since returning from the summer tournament whilst the other has struggled, and this was evident in EA's update.

Young Gun firing

Arsenal's number seven Bukayo Saka has well and truly bounced back from his penalty miss in the Euro 2020 final.

The 20-year-old has been scintillating for the Gunners this season and has taken on responsibility as the main threat going forward in nearly every single match.

The Hale End academy product now has eight goals and five assists to his name in the Premier League so far this season, which is two more than any PL player aged 21 years old or younger.

ON FIRE - Arsenal have won four out of the last four Premier League matches

EA has rewarded Saka with a +1 OVR in FIFA 22 - the England international is now rated as an 81 OVR.

The winger's finishing, composure, shot power and curve have been given the largest boosts from the range of in-game stats, which reflects on his improvement in front of goal.

Saka's fine form has been a key factor in propelling the North Londoners to fourth place in the Premier League and making them favourites to earn the fourth UEFA Champions League position for the 2022/23 season.

So, his upgrade in FIFA 22 is most definitely deserved and we expect more to follow soon.

Manchester man down

Unfortunately, another young England international has not reacted so positively to missing a penalty at Euro 2020.

Manchester United fans had high hopes for Marcus Rashford after being an extended break for his long-term injury to heal.

However, the English winger has scored just four goals in the Premier League this season and is MASSIVELY struggling for game time under Ralph Rangnick.

Rashford had been expected to start last Sunday's Manchester derby in the absence of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, given United had no other senior strikers available to them, but the interim boss opted to use Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba as two false-nines instead.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN - Many United fans hoped these two would be the future of the club

This highlighted just how poor the 24-year-old has been recently and how little the manager trusts in him.

Multiple reports have suggested that Marcus Rashford is now considering his future at Man United due to his increasing frustration under Rangnick.

EA has taken the decision to downgrade Rashford by one overall rating in FIFA 22 to an 83 OVR.

The Red Devil has also seen his finishing, long shots and composure downgraded, along with his potential overall rating down to 87 OVR.
