FIFA 22: Liverpool maestro becomes 'Complete Midfielder' in latest update

Squad updates are a regular feature in FIFA 22, with EA releasing them almost weekly to keep the ratings up to date.

The latest update arrived on Wednesday, 13 April, with several high-profile players seeing their ratings change.

Liverpool's incredible form has not gone unnoticed by EA, and their players were some of the biggest winners from the latest update.

Complete Midfielder

Liverpool's midfield maestro Thiago is one of the most enjoyable players to watch in world football as his technique is immaculate.

Already an 86 OVR, the Spanish star has not seen his overall change, but some individual attributes have been boosted.

Thiago has seen a +1 boost in his Short Passing (91), Stamina (75), and Vision (86), leading to two new traits being added to his profile.

The 31-year-old is now classed as a 'Playmaker' and a 'Complete Midfielder' in FIFA 22, and we can't argue with that!

Next in line

How does Liverpool replace Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino?

This has been a question posed over the years as that front three has been one of the world's best, but it looks like Liverpool's recruitment team are up to the task!

It is not like these players will be retiring any time soon, but all three of the superstar forwards will have turned 30 before the start of next season, so they will need reinforcements.

FUTURE STAR - Diaz is on his way to being a world class winger

Two of the new forwards signed have already shown they have the class, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz both rewarded for their displays in the latest update.

Portuguese international Jota is now an 85 OVR, with loads of boosts to his attributes such as Finishing, Heading Accuracy, and Positioning.

Diaz has received similar treatment too, although the boosts to his Skill attributes have not seen his overall rise higher than the current 83.

Rock-solid

We all know Virgil van Dijk is one of the world's best centre-backs, but it is Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate that are included in the latest boost.

84-rated Matip has seen boosts to his Short Passing, Dribbling, Reactions, Strength, and Standing Tackle this month.

Konate has only seen a small increase, but it is to an attribute more valuable than any other... Pace!

The Frenchman now boasts incredible 85 Sprint Speed, making him the quickest centre-back in the league.
