A second La Liga Player of the Month is set to be announced in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, and October’s award will be hotly contested.
There have been some in-form strikers this month with defenders likely feeling trepidation at the thought of facing them, and one of them looks set to bag the award.
Here are our contenders for the award and who could pick up a new SBC card below.
Release Date
There are no official nominees just yet for La Liga Player of the Month, but we should see an official shortlist of nominees soon after the final round of October fixtures.
The official nominees could be revealed in the first week of November, with the voting opening around Friday, 5 November.
The release of a new SBC card should follow around one week later, and fingers crossed it is affordable and offers decent value!
Luis Suarez
Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez came back to haunt his former club Barcelona with a goal in his new club’s 2-0 win over the Catalan giants.
Suarez also scored twice against Real Sociedad to take his tally to three goals and an assist in just two matches this month.
Jose Gaya
Valencia may not have had the best month in terms of results, but their left-back Jose has been terrific.
Gaya has scored twice in his two appearances to date, including a stunning strike in the 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.
Raul De Tomas
Four goals and an assist in October has put Raul De Tomas behind only Karim Benzema in the La Liga Golden Boot race.
Espanyol have gone unbeaten so far this month, winning two and drawing two, including an impressive 2-1 victory over Real Madrid.
Arnaut Danjuma
It has been an incredible couple of years for Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma, who now finds himself among La Liga’s top scorers having been playing in the Championship last season.
The now Netherlands international is proving to be a terrific signing for Villareal and boasts three goals and an assist during October.
Oscar Trejo
Playing in a much more advanced role than his basic card CDM position, Oscar Trejo has been Rayo Vallecano’s creator in chief throughout October.
The Argentine has four assists in four appearances so far in October including in their win over Barcelona, giving him an outside chance of a new Player of the Month SBC card.
