FIFA 22: Kai Havertz RTTF Review - Why the German is a GREAT investment

The Road to the Final promo has seen some great new cards released into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team over the past week.

One of the brilliant new cards is Kai Havertz, and we have tested out his new 89-rated RTTF item in Division Rivals to see if it is any good.

Road to the Final Havertz

Chelsea star Kai Havertz is one of the big names to feature in the Road to the Final release, and his 89 OVR card is certainly worth a closer look.

You should be able to add Havertz to your club for somewhere between 230k-250k coins depending on your console or platform.

The Road to the Final items are all live, meaning their ratings can be upgraded depending on real-life performances.

Chelsea has already won their first-leg, guaranteeing at least one upgrade for Havertz, and their 2-0 aggregate advantage puts them in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals and give Havertz another upgrade to 91 OVR.

First Impressions

Quick, agile, very impressive. That was our initial thoughts as soon as we got in a game with Havertz.

At 6'2" we expected the German to feel a little slow, especially given his 82 Acceleration, however, this was not the case.

Havertz took up good positions playing as the most advanced in a midfield three and regularly got into shooting positions.

His positioning was certainly his strength as he always seemed to be in space, but he could certainly benefit from a chemistry style that boosts his shooting attributes.

Deep Dive

Overall we did enjoy using the new Havertz, but there were a couple of areas of concern.

Hit shooting was one, and while we did find the back of the net with him, he did not always manage to find the target.

From a 250k 89 OVR CAM, you are looking for someone to be clinical, which with the right chemistry style he could well be.

Havertz did also seem to "run out of steam" towards the end of games too and become much less effective.

Key Attributes:

  • 92 Dribbling
  • 91 Sprint Speed
  • 89 Positioning

RealSport Rating: 7/10

Verdict

Good, but not amazing. That about sums up how we feel about Kai Havertz’s new Road to the Final item in-game.

Decent weak foot and skill moves do make Havertz very useable, and his potential to reach 95 OVR if Chelsea retains their Champions League crown is exciting.

GAMBLE - This is what Havertz card could look like if Chelsea win the UCL

As an investment opportunity though the card offers a lot more, especially given it looks likely he will reach at least 91 OVR in the coming weeks.

If you can snag him for a good price from the market, you may have a great return on your investment sooner rather than later!
