Liverpool new boy will be a big hit in all FIFA 22 game modes

It is now confirmed that 22-year-old French centre-back Ibrahima Konate will join Liverpool this summer, bolstering their squad ahead of the release of FIFA 22.

Liverpool will pay RB Leipzig £36 million for the services of Konate who made eight starts in the Bundesliga this season, scoring one goal.

Check out how Konate could look in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and Career Mode below.

New Arrival

Liverpool have announced the official signing of Ibrahima Konate on their various social media accounts.

The Reds have at times struggled defensively this season thanks to injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip, not to mention Fabinho and Jordan Henderson too.

Konate has also missed parts of the season through injury, although Jurgen Klopp will hope he can keep at least two of his top defenders fit next season!

The highly-rated Frenchman will have plenty of competition for a starting berth at Anfield but the early signs are exciting for Liverpool fans.

Ultimate Team

The arrival of Konate will excite Liverpool fans, but it will also affect fans of FIFA Ultimate Team too.

With such a plethora of French talent in FIFA 21, French squads have proven increasingly popular in Ultimate Team.

The addition of a new French defender to the Premier League will open up new hybrid chemistry link options, especially now Aymeric Laporte has changed his national allegiance to Spain.

POWERHOUSE - Konate is a towering presence at the back

Konate is arguably a more useable CB too thanks to his size and athleticism suiting the current meta in the game.

While his basic card may prove popular in the early weeks of the game next season, he may also receive a Ones to Watch card early on too.

This will be a valuable card as an early selection in Team of the Week could take Konate's pace rating close to the 80 mark.

Career Mode

It is not just Ultimate Team where Konate could prove popular, as he is already a quality Career Mode signing.

At 6'4" and with 79 Sprint Speed, Konate is more than a match for a lot of the forwards he will face.

FUTURE STAR - Konate could be one of the best in the world

Still just 22 years of age, Konate also boasts a potential rating of 87, meaning he can become a world-class centre-back in the years to come.

Obviously, his transfer this summer means he will be unavailable to sign for another club straight away in FIFA 22 Career Mode, so you may have to be patient.
